Oil gauge is pretty handy actually. It's great for monitoring when she needs a top up or an oil change. Once the pressure drops below a certain number, its time to put some more in. Pretty simple really.

Umm, are you gonna check your dipstick while your driving?? And are you gonna keep driving your car if you suddenly lose all your oil pressure risking huge damage? No... And are you going to be able to tell if you have lost all oil pressure without an oil pressure gauge.. Probably not.

mmmm... ill stop now OVL087.. but i jus gota say.... want it like the first thing u were ever told bout cars or watched we u'd watch ya dad play wiv car, check ur oil an water every week! ur right u cant check the dip stick while ur drivin, but please tell me how ur gonna lose at least 3 litres of oil in a single drive??? bextor84 have u ever lost ALL oil pressure b4 an ur oil pressure guage has saved ya?? i doubt it!!! let be serious if sumthin seriously goes wrong wiv ur car, ur gona know without a pressure guage u got problems! if u dont know the signs of lose of ALL oil pressure then dont drive a car anymore...

I disagree ever so strongly with that sorry. Cracked sump/ Exploded Filter/ Failing or Failed pump.. If I was driving sensibly and I saw my pressure drop significantly I'd stop the car and get it towed home before boosting up the road or giving it a hiding.

It is pretty hard 2 find a lowish klms series 2 original turbo 5spd around here, i dont HATE the kit, the part i hate is the steering wheel, the kit i would like to get rid of, but if i did i would want to take it all of at once and get my bumpers painted silver....but while im at it id want the top half black....ah dreamin' Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah and the black fmic works a treat, no cop has ever had my bonnet up! (touch wood)

i really dont see how a intercooler can be a defect!!! i mean really.. its gonna help the life of the car in the end! true true.. bout why u bought it! bextor84... mmm, im the complete opposite.. ill keep drivin till it wont start, i drove it today to an from the performance joint.. they said the engines rooted, full engine rebuild on the way, but yer, its ****ed its ****ed, either way im forkin a heapa cash out so im not too woried.. not drivin it now tho, maybe to the workshop to get fixed, thatll be it!

I know a guy who'd just bought a 32 GTR and drove it from somewhere in SA to Brisbane where it developed a bit of a big end noise. Still drove it down the coast on a saturday night cruise mind you, including the normal racing that goes on along the way (Note: Obviously I use the term "racing" as a joke, sif we race on the highway, thats naughty and illegal). Once we hit the broadwater carpark, the "bit of a noise" was a "****en loud rattle" .... But he still turned around and drove it home - or at least tried to. We found him halfway back to brisbane with a siezed engine :P Poor fella, RB26 rebuilds arent particuarly cheap. Even less so when you are a bucket load of kays from home. Crap, why did I just tell that story? Uhm, he had a tacho too. And a oil pressure guage. It hit 0, then the engine died. Moo.

Lol that was a bit careless of him.. how much to rb26 rebuilds cost? About $3000 as a rough figure?

I believe he got a second hand engine and had it sent up and installed... I seem to recall the second hand engine was $2500, apparently "reconditioned", but fark, in my industry something "reconditioned" means we sprayed a coat of black paint over some old part that still works (barely).

intercooler tells cops that the car is turbo lol from far away, i have learnt: Cops think turbo = hoon, mine looks like an 8 thru and thru and maybe thats why whenever i get pulled up its generally to ask curious questions about the car lol

put it behind the radiator...or mesh **** over the gaps in the from bar if thats were your cooler is...
