I painted my last rocker cover in 2 pac and it lasted 1.5 years and is still good for the person i sold it to.Ive had the one painted on my VLT for about 6 months so far and it still looks like its just been painted today and its also done in 2 pac.so its seems to work fine 4 me.ive also have my last block and head painted in the same and there still good too(just make sure you take your time with prep work and it will be fine). boostinvl

Apart from that all you need to do is unscrew the inlet piping and manouvre it out. It's not hard at all. And I just closed the bonnet as soon as I took it off because I didn't have anything CLEAN to put over the engine, and it would have done more worse that way than good. I guess you could put a clean tarp over it if you are worried but with the bonnet closed if the area is fairly clean you shouldn't have any trouble.

If this works... From this... To this... Did it work? I think its a great improvement... Its not that visable in the pictures, but the rocker cover fades into silver on the bottom half, its clear in real life though If the pictures didnt work... http://www2.propichosting.com/Images/421575690/22.jpg <--Old engine bay http://www2.propichosting.com/Images/421575690/21.jpg <-- New engine bay Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah i have to secure the oil catch can... Right now its wedged in there What is the best method to polish up the plenum? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

its easiest if the plenum is removed from the car, but thats a pain in the ass... so. Get some light grade sand paper, say 800grit wet and dry, and start sanding it back to get all the surface clean, then using a metal polish, just polish it up like you would your panels... if its not shiney enough, then take to it with a finer grade sandpaper 1200grit etc. then polish again.. continue getting finer untill your happy with the finish.. Thats how i did mine. (i'd post pics but dont have a digitial camera...)

you guys should try polishing the exhaust heat shield... looks fantastic and is a great finishing touch under the hood! Ill be painting my rocker cover soon but cause its just a N/A im not painting it with wrinkle, any suggestions as to what colour would complement my red exterior paint work??

Red sounds good to me. I have to get some better paint stripper and see if I can get the crud off the old one that I've been meaning to polish up.
