16-01-06, 17:17 GMT+10#61 the engine will fit over the crossmember but needs to sit relatively close to get the optimum engine/box angle.
dont forget the brakes either!

16-01-06, 17:31 GMT+10#63 My cross member was modified to fit the engine. Its a shame I swapped everything except for the crossmember into the coupe before realising
That was a waste of 2 weekends.

16-01-06, 17:38 GMT+10#65 Hey vl383 awesome thread! I'm doing the same conversion into my LH. Stats will be (when its finished):
Rebuilt rb30, slight porting, 'stage 2' jpc cam, standard t3 (suspect hiflow-has a bigger compressor wheel), Will stick with standard intake/injectors untill engineered. Also an r33 5spd box, custom sump/gearbox crossmember, CRS engine mounts. Already have a 3.5 9"diff (damn single spinner!) Heres some pics anyways, will try to get some better 1's soon.
Goal is to get 200+rwkw with front mount etc. Will be fun!!!

16-01-06, 18:01 GMT+10#68 haha yeah a section of the crossmember has been scooped out. For some reason the sump at the start of the deep section isnt straight across.
It is sort of on an angle. Its hard to describe but now the engine is back in I dont care!!

17-01-06, 09:33 GMT+10#69 I see this thread has been started again. Nice work with your conversion. Hope everything works out. I don't know everything about the conversion as it my cousin's car and he did all the work. If anyone is genuinely interested if finding out some stuff PM me and I will give you Mick's number and you can call him and speak to him direct.
Here's some vid links of the LC from the other weekend when we were having a bit of fun doing some skids...
I think from memory it has pulled 197rwkw.

if you just square up the inner rear wheel tubs you can fit a 235/60/15 tyre with the shock in its standard location.
any more and its mini tubs and coil overs

01-03-07, 19:19 GMT+10#77 I think with a mild 200rwkw he has managed a 7.4 so far on the 8th.
