Dyno's on 'shootout' mode are bullsh*t. I've seen heaps of exaggerated dyno reults from Dyno Dynamics type Dynamometers. Go somewhere else and don't get a 'shootout' reading.

You do know that the Standard VL Na engine put out 114kw's (at flywheel) which is equivalent to 80-86rwkws???? Im just asking, not having a go at you, but your saying you got around 50rwkws just by putting on a throttle body... and adjusting a few things! Sorry but it seems impossible!!!! Take no offence, just stating the facts.

Must have done quite a few other mods to get that reading, otherwise its the dynometer thats faulty.

you guys should read the whole thread. then you will see he didn't gain 50rwkw just from a throttle body and a few adjustments.

Those headers I've got are pacemakers. Regards, Joel. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Joel, what did u use for the rubber sleeves that seal your 3" intake pipe from the afm to the throttle body? Are they holden items or are they something else? I'm going put my xf on soon but i couldn't find or don't know of any sleeves that would work.

FFS...I guarentee that motor is no more powerfull than any of you other guys who have done similar mods, I don't beleive in dyno graphs any more than Beleive in Santa when I see him at Kmart My Genuine 'Auto' 140kw R31 GTSII returned 126rwHP on a Dynodynamics dyno in an SAU Shootout. I also know a guy that runs a reputable dyno shop in perth who in under 5 minutes 'for a laugh' changed the scale on my Dyno printout to make it read, from 230rwHP to 520rwHP @ 33psi on C16 fuel from a standard Boosted T25G SR20. (Still have printout if anyones interested!) Not knocking Joel at all, but I'm sure the guys on here who have had there RB30's dynoed with similar mods will realize how high this figure is, for the people that have not please don't get to excited, or to dissapointed when you bolt on an XF throttle body and only return 100rwKW. I have not seen a Terminal speed at the drags yet from this car yet.....that i'd beleive.....oh and the tooth fairy but thats another story Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I dug up the thread I posted for a laugh on Performance forums regarding and showing the BS Dyno graph i had Bodgy'd up. Although I could'nt go thru with it, and in the 2nd post I mentioned to take 300hp off the figure for an accurate result....it is amazing the amount of people who still thought it was for real! Its a worry http://board.performanceforums.com/f...highlight=dyno (http://board.performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1307&highlight=dyno) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
