Does anyone else here worry about advertising to the world what they've spent on their car, and on what? You just dont know who'd reading these forums, and it seems to me that this thread is turning into a nice "shopping list" (with 5 finger discounts off course) for potential theives. Anyone of these cars listed could now be targeted by theives who are on the prowl... Whats everyones thoughts on that...? Am i just a little paranoid?

Yeh i know but some people have put one hell of a shopping list on here. Its definatley an interesting read to see what car bits other people spend their hard earned cash on. Its just unfortunate that we have to be cautious of a dodgy minority dont think they should have to work hard to fix up their own cars.

My car has soo much rust, and it barely starts.. and when you do get it runny, it blows soo much smoke it attracts all the attention and its hell loud due to the massive rust hole sin the exhaust. Also has spikes in the seat that poke your arse, ouch!

Have to attach brake pads to my shoes so i can slow down properly. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Anyone rocking up at my house threatening my life (my car) will not get away unscathed. You can't run from an experienced shooter. Quote: still need to spent at least another 4 to get it to where i want it... HAHA!! AS IF YOU'LL BE HAPPY! I want to spend another 10k on manifolds, GT35R, head coolant lines modifications and good intercooler. But then surely something would go wrong, so i'd end up needing forged pistons. But with forgies, i'd plan to push the engine to it's absolute limit, so i'd need new rods too.... then i'd need a more hardcore cam, then i'd need........

ive spent over 16k on fixing and mods over 5 years, not too bad cos i reckon i could sell for 10k now which means ive lost 16k over 5 years: about the same as a new bommodore would have depreciated over the same period

Damn, I started to add it up in my head and it was starting to scare me. I'd rather not know, I have all the receipts in my clover-box for reference when I decide to sell. The things that I could buy with all the money I have spent on the Calais, DAMN!!! Still, I love my car (most of the time).

(an average of $8.19 per day in fuel alone) Including Purchase price of $11,000 - makes it $13,278.71 - but i've only had it for 4 months. And more will be spent on the car next time i get paid. Previous Calais i've had (the 2 Atmo's ) i've spent about $15k - $20k on (over 4 years and including purchase prices of both cars) and now selling the amalgamation of which at about $6k. great shoppin list!! not a shoppin list its a great list of items that we are proud that we have earnt the cash to buy or are in debt for! and if any f^ckers are readin it thinkin it is a shoppin list for them think again!! we car club members shouldnt feel scared to display our cars, to cruze in them n park them, to show them off to other car owners when they as whats in this sweet ride and to feel safe to park it at home and leave our stereos in our cars and not have to lock our keys in a vault so the f^cker wont break in to the house to steal the keys too!
