stocky, the reason I want top speed is coz i plan on racing at willowbank lots and lots, coz i have a bad habbit of doing it on the streets and I hate my self for doing it.. if I go to the test and tunes, i get it outa my system. Kaboom, have put the VLT ecu and injectors in?? im going to be doin this soon, hopefully ill gain a bit. also wat psi are you running?

actually, i was pretty inpressed that the 180 only beat me by 2 car lengths in the long run... T25 high flow on 10 psi, vs a small blower on an Rb30 runnin, prolly about 4 psi.. i think i did ok Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah dude i can understand that completely, but hey i'm more of a street racing type who enjoys and occasional flog, but hey each to their own! there's nothing like doing a 1/4 at willowbank in a quick car!

Nope I'm runinng stock injectors, but I added a extra injector to calm down the detonation. I also put a pot across the collant temp sensor to richen up the mixture..... I'm running 7-9psi of boost, through a now (toasted) 4 speed auto.....I finially got a flywheel for my 5speed conversion......so I'll put that in and see how it goes..... Also I've heard that the VK EFI's run 50psi of fuel pressure at their injectors useing the same pump as the VL.... (VL's run at 40psi....) If so a VK fuel regualtor would be a cheap way to get a extra 10psi to your injectors.... as for 4.11's....meh Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I left the blower off, and I was slightyl pullin away in second gear.. anyways.. i thought, time to send u back to school :P , i put the car into 5th, get the revs down to 1300, switch on my happy switch, dropped it to second, the back stepped out as i flew past him :P... the dude was looking at my goin..... it didnt sound turbo before :P lol. no hard feelins pal :P

haha man that's priceless, just makes me wanna hurry up and get my blower on now! nice one dude. only thing i gotta worry about now is the old auto box giving up on me, i think all you guys have done it with manuals so i'm not sure if it'll handle the power. oh well, i guess i'll find out! might buy a spare box before i start, incase mine explodes.

OMG I love that look.....go from zero to hero in the flick of a switch.... Yeah my automatic went to autmatic transmission heaven (well lost 3rd gear)....I was running a supercharged auto VL calais... But I just got the last bit for my manual conversion (flywheel...yippie!!!!!!) so after I finish rebuilding the transmission I can get rid of the old sludgebox Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

sheesh that's not good, i have a strange feeling that is what will happen to mine. might have to get a VLT auto box or convert to the manual. your boxes seem to be handling it okay, but what about the clutch? any slipping issues?

After the blower mate....yeah I know I'm asking for trouble.....PM me your email and I'll end you a pic..... My auto was rooted when I got the car, the blower finished it off......I reckon a N/A auto with a good trans cooler will/should hold up under a blown RB30E the N/A auto is quite strong, but I just want to swap gears myself Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

this setup sounds great something different also i sent an email to the rod shop about the air con and power steering and this is wat he had to say. The power steering can be simply remounted below the blower, its easy according to the people who have done it, as for the air conditioner we have not had any sales to people with one but would like to fit one if you wanted it done. We fit at $55.00 an hour and there would be no charge for us to design it, only the fitting time once it has been worked out. another thing i would like to know on the web site it says an intercooler would not be needed just thinking would it be or not ?

yeah i have that pic of your setup kaBOOMn, your blower is mounted real high in the engine bay, running off a pulley added onto the power steering pulley right? the bottom mounts are also attached to the engine bay on the shock tower too.....interesting setup. does the fact that the belt slippage is, in effect, limited by the crank-power steering tension/grip lower your available boost? another interesting setup, this can be done a number of ways it would appear! have to have a good look at your setup, pics just don't cut it when you're trying to replicate something in real life eh.

simz: you don't really need an intercooler because in theory the air being pushed into the engine is at ambient temperature. this is not hte case in real life though, the blower and induction pipes get rather hot! a small intercooler might help, but would contribute to a bit of "pipe lag" when the blower has to fill all that space up.
