Ok fellas, my next stage is finally underway... deciding whether to go the kicker or JL audio. I know they are similar but I know kicker's thump like crazy and JL cost more though. I'm just working out which brand I will choose as I have a fair idea which amps and speakers to use with the system. I am now going to measure and work out the false floor...

Sound proofing = Sound deadning, theres only one name in sound deadening you need to know- G-Spot Performance (www.gspotperformance.com (http://www.gspotperformance.com)). As for JL being no good for big amps...You my friend are lost. Kicker make **** subs! They make $200 subs, like mike JL do, Kicker make Kicker Comps and they are ****, JL make W0's and they are ****. I tell you what, you take your Kicker (borrow one off your mates even), get a 2000wrms amp, strap her on, and ill get my 12W6v2 and hook up a US AMPS 4000X (4000wrms into 4ohm), and we shall see what lasts longer. Fool.

No way, kicker have more movement in them with their double stitched rubber surrounding. Don't argue about it. I went into JB and did a test on both of them and found kicker to thump JL out of the water. But both are good subs to use Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
