Didnt realise it till now but Pete used to work the Front Desk of Australian Air Express at the Brisbane Airport..... Was speaking to him on that day only a couple of hours before his accident in regards to parts from his car.... Came across as a nice bloke (anyone who curses richos r33 is a top bloke!) with a definite passiona nd knowledge of the car scene. From all the guys at Followmont Transport and A.A.E. mate I hope you recover soon and hope to see you back on the road to recovery as soon as possible.....

Ok smallish update. One of the guys spoke to his father out at AAE yesterday and it seems that they "may' have rebroken one of his legs doing the physio for him. Not real god news there. He is still in the coma unfortanetly as well. We can only hope he gets better quickly.

Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I think what it was is that they move the legs and arms and such whilst you are in a coma so the muscles dont shrink so that when you come out of the coma theres still a could chance you can walk and use your arms properley. I would say they were doing these exercises when theyve inadvertanley rebroken one of his legs. Hope he gets better soon but, I need someone to speak **** too out at the airport.

Holy ****, a drug-induced coma... This sounds like a lot more than just a couple of broken legs (bad as that is). Hope you pull through OK!

yeah, as HSV said, the inpatient physios in the ward would be doing range of motion exercises and passive joint movements so as to slow the rate of muscle atrophy and make sure he doesn't get joint problems like synovial adhesions etc. what i was commenting on is that if they haven't put a cast on his broken legs or pinned them in any way, then they may not be expecting him to recover soon.... not a good thing. a patient who was going to be in a *short* drug induced coma whom the surgeons were expecting would recover would probably be in casts etc so that they were mobile when they recovered. man i hope he gets out of it okay, sad to see another enthusiast get shafted.

guys, if his leg wasn't healing properly, they will have rebroken it on purpose to try to get it to reheal properly. not sure of the circumstances for this case though...
