Chucking on VT ABS brakes was the best decision in my life coz they definetly saved me.... originally i thought it wouldn't make much of a difference, but after i took AAMI's safe driving test ... ****EN oath i chucked those f.u.c.k.e.r.s straight in. got mine pretty cheap off a crashed VT at the Auctions (pity they didn't work so well for that guy) had to buy the whole car ofcourse but $600 was pretty sweet in my eyes then it was all a matter of sneaking into my mates mechanics shop spending a long nite puttin em on n presto! My car now drifts , stops n doesn't hit ne more taxi drivers (or as i affectionatly call them yellow pig f.u.c.k.e.r.s ) i recommend gettin them insurance will be a bit easier on u too. if ur with AAMI do the test n u'll see wat i mean.

Prffffft... No. Unfortunatly i could never do something like that. Im jus incredibly lucky that my mate is heavily experienced when it comes to VL's, he did his own car aswell before mine with his boss n second time around for him was a breeze any problems n he took a look at his own car. A few hours n a hell-of-alot of coffee later n me bitch was Upgraded. I don't recomend any-one try this on their own. If u have a mate that's been a mechanic for sometime n has dealt with ABS brakes on earlier model Holdens then good go ahead, but be warned u may have a little trouble a couple of days later for some reason both my own n my mates cars had a lil problem with the new braking system but was quickly rectified (no i dun know what happened). Rest assured that if u take it to a proffesional which actually does these conversions, it will be reliable n that they will rip u off. I will ask to see if my mate could do a write up n have it posted either on here or on Calaisturbo.com.

isnt the ABS controlled by the BCM (body control module).?. and if so howd you get it working without it or did you somehow interface the VT BCM with the VL electrics.?

"Even just the parts used. Like which calipers, discs, sensors, and possibly hydraulics diagrams. And computer!!!!" Look as far as i know he didn't have to use any extra parts, except wateva he took out of the VT mind u the VT i bought was a smashed up clubby. Obviously this guy hadn't crashed him himself as the damage was mainly to the left pasenger and roof ... go figure. still workin on gettin the write up .. no promises as my mate is extremly busy with work n i have no clue as to how it was done ... truth be told i was sleeping in the backseat of my car while it was on the hoyst. As for all the stories that ppl have been writing prior to my first post, try goin 150 straight into a wire fence with no abs no thats ****ed. another story of how ab saved me... dirt track in Mt.Evelyn (melb) like a ****head showing off i was driving at night on a single lane road when an unexpected turn came up slamming on the brakes n drifting/sliding (wat eva u prefer) the ass end of the car miss a tree by 10 cm (i dunno exactly) judging by the tyre marks left on the road ... mind u this was cliff side so i dun care wat ne of u's say ABS saved my life + 3 others. Ofcourse ive never been back to that area scared the living daylights out of me. also since then i haven't sped over 10 kms. U never know wats around the corner. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
