I've searched this and found a 2km/h difference in theory, but i cant see the difference on the actual dash board. cheers in advance
i didn't think there was a difference?? i got another cluster of damo and they are identical apart from the odometer
yeah i know, i couldnt tell the difference either; but as stated by aus880 "BT1 pack:.....unique BT1 instrument cluster, ....." and also by patch "dash: speedo with 2km/h increments, tacho, volts gauge, oil pressure, fuel gauge and temp gauge" in the 'bt1 myths and facts http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showth...ight=bt1+myths (http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=123429&highlight=bt1+myths)

The only thing was that the BT1 cluster was givin more effort into being correctly callabrated
Yesterday I brought my VL home after 18 months of storage. Can't believe it started first time and made the 70km trip home no probs.
The brakes arn't the best, I have a complete Calais for parts whats involved with installing disks all round on the Royale.
^Easiest way would be to swap the whole rear end, and use the handbrake cable off the Calais. Also I think you may need to put the master cyl from the calais in as well, I remember reading something about the drum m/c keeps a slight bit of pressure in the rear brakes, it's been a while since I did this so I can't remember, I could be wrong. But yea swap the whole diff out, your front brakes will be the same one each car so don't need to touch those.
HELLOO!
Gradually my vl is becoming more difficult to start, it now takes a good 10-20 turns back n forth to get it to start up, but once it starts its fine etc, i'm guessing its something in my steering column thats becoming wore away or something?? where should i look!! i also have a spare steering column if i need to replace anything?
Sounds like perhaps some contacts inside your ignition barrel have worn out - there is a thread in the Tech Section which explains how to replace it.

Or go and buy a new ignition barrel and lock set (3 barrels for front doors + boot), but if you do just go and buy them in person, I wouldn't want to buy them online and give them my address
good news! didnt have to change the ignition barrel over, but after dropping the steering column down i noticed the spring in the creamy coloured thingo had been half hanging out because the plastic had crack (in the photo) so was just a matter of unscrewing it/ unplugging it and replacing it with a spare one i had. Thanks still the same guys

Awesome thanks guys! I'll judge up and see what may look best for me I'm liking the looks of all of them but the last photo there looks more my style.
Does the first one use standard fuel rail mounts? Etc?
