Your CAS has probably packed a sad...Got another distributor you can throw in and try? If it's not that, it would at least eliminate it.....

Your alarm hasn't immobilized has it? When I removed my siren off my vlt the car would crank but wouldn't fire. Its gonna be a nightmare to figure out how to remove the ****ty alarm that doesn't really work in my car :-( Only other times this sort of thing has happened to me its been fuel related.

My stupid question of the day. When fitting calais side skirts to a non calais VL, will they require holes to be drilled in the sills? I see rare spares sell a mounting clip kit to attatch them to the car, but unsure how the clips are attatched???

Vl now runs again and gauges work mint, the earth had to get reinforced with another earth wire lol, and the power on the power wire on battery for wiring loom was very loose

Cheers Marty

Stupid question time. Thinking of ways to wire in aftermarket ECU, its only a fairly basic one. Getting an old VL ECU, taking the plug connectors out and wiring the aftermarket harness on to its connectors, so that it will match up to the factory wiring harness? Is this a plausible idea?

Is this a plausible idea? it would work but you could possibly have issues latter on with lose connections , unless you managed to find new pins that were the same as the factory ones in the plugs

Yea it'll work but you'll still have to run wires for the map sensor.

Its got a map sensor in the ECU casing with a vacuum line running out of it

It would probably be feasible, but whether it's worth doing or not is another question. Is it so you return the car to stock/remove the ECU at a later date?

Wiring is going full steam ahead. Few questions left. Does anyone know which of the yellow and white wires coming off the CAS is the trigger or reference? And as far as injectors go, do they have a constant 12v supply and the earth is switched in by the ECU or does the ECU supply the 12v? Any info greatly appreciated !!

^^ correct ignition supplyed 12v, or just grab it from the fuse box. And it switchs on the earth.
