They're VE Calais V rims, VE's have a smaller hub, so if you want those to fit you need to get the centre of the rim machined out to pre-VE size. Do a search on this site for VE rims, it's been covered many times over the last few years Here you go -> http://calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=165577 245/45R18s are way to big for a VL! Quote: Originally Posted by ss nut Looks like an offset for a front wheel drive?Ideal offset is about 42 Heaps of Holden/HSV 18x8 and 19x8 have been 48p and heaps of people have fitted them without issues, including my old VL that had VY GTS and VX GTS both with that offset. But I agree with you, it's not idea for a flush look unless you want to run fat tyres

machined they will, but I'd read the "VE wheels questions thread" before you do it as there is some interesting info in there about strength of these crappy rims you love to love so much Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

And I saw a comment somewhere, but havn't seen anyone notice it.. the 17" steels have 2 funny 'slots' instead of a hole by the tyre valve.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
