Mechanically it should hold 850hp with standard Internals. They don't like weight (3000+ pds) or high rpm. The problem starts when the engines turn faster than 8000rpm. The 1-2 Shift requires a Drum turning at 90% engine speed to stop and the Forward/Overrun Drum to go from Stationary to 68% engine speed. Kenetic Energy formula is 1/2 Mass x Velocity Squared.

Not enough for me. I need an auto to handle 1000awhp and 10K revs in a 3300lb street car (so no two speeds)

The TH400 will work but as for streetable (read minimal maintenance) the 2 don't go hand in hand. In order for the High/Reverse Drum to survive the RPM it will need to be alloy. Alloy drums plus Steel Clutch Steels = accelerated wear. Why someone hasn't inserted steel sleeves into the Alloy Drum is- no wait I get it. Spare parts sales. Although we could easily modify the Powerglide to NISSAN Transfer Case Adaptor, the overall length of the conversion will create floor clearance issues. Assuming you could leave the start line with everything the engine had, then a 1st Gear ratio change to 2.10:1 would also be needed. I cracked the sads some 5 years ago and stopped posting as Transman. The mexican is what some of the locals in WA called me so it stuck. Maybe I should change it again to keas.

We have had the 1a to 3A Conversion Shafts, Billet Servo Sets and Valve Bodies available for some time. We tested the RE4R03A Valve Bodies in serveral cars inc BOOSTN when they went down that track. No 2nd Gear issues to date. Rigoli also use my Valve Bodies in their 8 sec Subaru's. The Subaru and RE4 series of Valve Bodies are interchangeable with Minor Mods so we have had lots of testing. Max HP RE4R03A AWD to suit RB30 around $5500.00 What would a M35 awd stagea box cost to build to hold 500+rwkw...? Im looking to move away from the straight 6 and head to the V6 for something different. There are plenty of parts available in the states to build up the 3.5 engine for good power so I would probably start with a 4.2 stroker
