No just because its not on deisel any more doesn't mean its not a RD Block. You cant 'rebirth' an engine. A RD with petrol head should be called a RB26/RD28. Simple, thats what it is end of story. Just because it aint on deisel anymore doesn't change the fact that its a RD Block. So goes for this 26/30 and 25/30. This RIPs issue is a "26/30 Stroked to 3.3Lt" simple end of story you cant call it a RB33 theres no such thing. You can for fun and what not, but it will never be an 'official' RB33.

I completely agree, an RD blocked engine should be called an RD30, or an RD26/30, I was being sarcastic, people are arguing the rB30 even when fitted with a twin cam head is called a RB30 still, I just don't think its oh so hard to call it a 26/30. RIPS car is still the worlds fastest 26/30 as far as I am aware, and the QUICKEST RB30 block in the world. Sammit is still the FASTEST if I'm not mistaken?? Ank?? I guess if we want to go by that definition, their claim as the fastest is wrong?? Kyle

I'm not trying to look special Ank; I respect your knowledge in the RB drag scene, but you have to admit a bit of standardised nomenclature in the RB scene would help at least a little bit in classifying quickly what people have. Edit: comments added since post. I agree with labelling a RB motor 25/30 and 26/30 f0or reasons obvious. I have thought about Kyle's point re: RB -petrol/RD - diesel; whilst B doesn't denote petrol. So, this is a stupid thread.

this is why you have 26/30 25/30 the rd is just used for the block not the internals people will NEVER call it a rd26/30 purely cause it will end up like the n20 saga who ever is using the rd block is cheating mark my words it will happen!! 6boost if we keep agreeing with each other u might ask me out on a date.. as for the 300zx mph im not sure ive got all the stats on me other lap top lets face it we are all rb at heart ?? correct ?? im stupid putting a rb in my ke when my mate oke has a 2j he is already ahead but my love for the rb is why i have gone that path! the BEST things will happen in the next 2 years we will see cars looking for 200 mph and the help of the rd and the 3.2/3.4 crank will get us there we all wanna see rb's rd's ke's go fast! and i want to see them up against the 2js Quote: Originally Posted by exchaser Yeh, good idea that.. you should follow that up....lol no worrys sweet heart ill do that while you learn what pump fuel is Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

There will be a billet alloy rb30 block available in the next 6-12 months, that should sort out the issue of people braking blocks! How many of you guys talking bout the rd28 block have ACTUALLY seen one used with your own eyes? I call bull**** to anyone claiming there using one untill I see it with my own eyes. I priced a second hand rd28 and my jaw dropped, it is a he'll of a lot of money to spend on something your not even sure will work!
