They use a small amount of methanol in the mix to bring Octane up a tad...thats my understanding....its hardly 'race fuel'.....

nice numbers, but whats in the pump fuel?? because it ain't 98 ron, same as corrans pump fuel okay missed a page, theres more than "a little" of whatever regardless it its toluene or methanol to runt hat boost and timing (especially with a sohc head) you need over 110 octane, so you need to add a lot (at least 30-40 percent with toluene) its more race fuel than pump fuel.... Good power, should go 150 or nearly mph depending on weight, and that turbo must have another 7-10psi in it if you want more. How did the plenum/cam work out for you?, what rpm was peak power? cheers darren

How did the plenum/cam work out for you?, what rpm was peak power? cheers darren a little bit of methanol is added to the pump fuel. its bugger all really. so to me, id classify it as pump fuel with additive. yeah turbo should have more in it id think, would need c16 to see the full potential tho. plenum/cam combo was a bit interesting. i ended up sticking with my tighe cam, and took out the waggot grind we tried. tighe cam worked better. longer runners on plenum gave it nice torque figures and brings it on real strong, but with a jpc plenum, it would probly make a little more overall hp but would also be a little laggier, which is all i expected. peak pwr is at 6500 i think darren.

its pump fuel to me, methanol is sold from a bowser too. the mix only gives a bit of leway from detanation. far from race fuel. when i race mine it'll be tuned on race fuel C16 jpc planum makes a higher peak power we noticed from compairing engines at allens. i will be upgrading soon when it goes auto robs engine sounded really strong on dyno, very strong mid range

cheers rob, great call....... dumbass... and corran, isnt the methonol % up around 25-30 percent? far from standard pump... put 100% standard 98 pump in ur car then ramp it... i put money on it ull b down a good 20% down on power... do u agree darren (jetr31)? u guys have to start writing " my car made 400rwrw on pump + methonol" b like me writing my car made 400rwkw but using nos and not telling any1... 8ball 2nite rob? can we play more than 22 epic games this time haha
