Sounds like you don't have a dodgy warrant place at hand, I passed without even a comment about the noise.

Modified lower shock mounts
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
We can get WOF's at garages here no problems....but id prefer my car to be safe....for the sake of a dodgy brake hose or something....small price to pay to not crash ya car

What shocks are in it? I've never had good results from doing cheap lowering jobs. Coilovers have become my standard for daily drivers now
Lots. Nah it won't be the springs, it's the combination of lowered springs with bad shocks. Monroe make ok straight replacement shocks, but are no good with lowered springs
Your best bet would be to get some Koni or Bilstein inserts made up to suit the springs. If you want it low with decent ride quality you need to make sure the springs and shocks are matched
ok here it is. cant figure out how to get it bigger so you'll have to click on it.
Anyway this is what it looks like with Monroe Gas GT Shocks (shortened) with Dobi Superlows. 1300 fitted at Mag n Turbo incl Nolathane panhard rod.
And its on 225/50R16's
Handles a lot better than the boat it used to be. But still not happy with it. Still leans a fair bit round corners (I guess that'll be fixed once i chuck a fat front swaybar in?).
And still nose dives a fair bit when braking.
Mind you, my daily car has Tein Adjustable Coilovers in it, so maybe Im being a little judgemental on the old VL

I put a set in my old work car (Legnum VR4) with Dobi lowered springs thinking it would be good enough for a daily driver. I took it back to Autolign after a few days and they admitted it didn't ride well so they put a different model in free of charge, Sensor-Track or something, but they were still shit. After 3 weeks I thought fuck it, pulled the lot out and got custom built Koni coilovers made up for it. I've since put coilovers in every car

You can get VL's to handle well, it just costs a lot of cash. A big front bar will help, as well as urethane bushes
I have Tein coilovers in my work car, I reckon you can't go past them for a daily use. What car are yours in?
Tried photobucket but that just puts the link into the post. not even a thumbnail.
Maybe you culd explain how to do it?
Um the Teins are in a 94 honda Prelude

Exactly the setup I had on my Berlina, it transformed the car, i was willing to put up with the hard ride simply because of the way it handled when I drove it hard, and I mean HARD, still a bit of pitch in the corners, but perfectly balanced, crisp turn-in and I loved the way you could just float it from corner to corner right on the limit, yet feeling safe as houses. It suited my driving style.
