I am doubtful that it would be a 2jz they take up a fair bit of room. But it could be done i guess, where theres a will theres a way. I am thinking of buying a gemini for a burnout car and putting a s15 engine in it or a v8 or even a rb26.
What would you guys recommend? how did the gemini's with the v8's perform? what sort of power, torque and quarter mile performance did they achieve?

Alright, with the rb26 I think if it does fit in you will have a lot of trouble. I have been told it wont fit in at all. That said I am pretty sure some one here on the forum had a rb30 in a Gemini. So if the rb30 can fit I dont see why the rb26 cant. The easiest option is the sr20 out of the s15 or which ever 200sx. It has been done plenty of times before and you will not have to much problems fitting it in. Also I know you just want a burnout car but for handling purposes the sr20 would be your best option as it is not a heavy motor so your steering wont be so heavy. As for the v8 it has been done before but you have to in most cases modify your fire wall and what not to get it to fit and in most cases modify your transmition tunnel to get any decent gear box to fit. It is a 1jz in that red tg I am pretty sure. I will get the link off www.ozgemini.com (http://www.ozgemini.com) later as I cant get onto it now. But the one I am talking about I am 99% sure has a 1jz in it running some decent power to.

13-04-08, 17:58 GMT+10#92 Sounds like that 1jz would be a real beast on the raod then. Yeah i am still undecided on the gemini. I might go with it if not might go with a rotary, and they mostly certainly make good burnout cars.

if your building a burnout car, then v8 is the way to go
if your after quarter mile time then turbo is the way to go'

I am actually kinda after both really. I want something that would make a tough burnout car but at the same time run a good quarter also. Something around the 11's would be good and would make a killer burnout car.
I am kinda tossing up with rotaries also but just hate the fact that they dont really last long.

thanks man, worst mistake i made was swapping it for an et pulsar i miss that gemi. Was a 1 owner off an old man with 130,000kays. Got pulled up in it on the hwy once and the cops just laughed at how low it was, was a really nice cop though, sat there with me looking at it and talking (still gave me a canary but no fine), and hey after a polish the paint was still shinny.
Tuff gemi HSVQUE reminds me on mine with the bumper hanging on the back left
