Hey guys my gf has a vz ss 6 speed 5.7 litre in Turismo mica with leather it has cv8 monaro wheels and since she bought it I have lowered the back about 30mm just so it sits flat also put a twin 2 1/2 cat back then deleted rear muffler so only has two middle mufflers! Next mod will be tune at JD custom as they have done my xr6 turbo and very impressed! Not sure how to load pics on here but when I work it out I will! Well have a few questions hopefully some people will be able to help. 1st anyone know how to change dash lights? I have taken dash out to find these little led's that look like they part of circuit can these be removed? 2nd am I able to fit cam with standard extractors and cats and standard intake just for a bit of better sound or will it be a waste with extractors and intake choking up engine? Just seems a better option than full exhaust and intake (cheaper and different) now 1 more how much power will the stock clutch handle in this car it doesnt get driven hard 90% of the time but when I drive I like to give it a bit well thanks in advance if someone can help cheers

It will probably hold up for the tune after the cam is installed or if your lucky for the drive home. Been through 3 stock clutches when mine was stockish (gotta love new car warranty) - the minute you start add mods it will pack it in. If your planning a cam start saving for a Tex Z grip or something along those lines. I'd say do it all right the 1st time and enjoy it.

Thanks for the reply mate in regards to the cam it was just an option over the exhaust cause I know everyone goes that way about it I was just wondering if any one has gone cam first then exhaust later instead of the usual exhaust then cam! And if so what are the results?? Well I think I have worked out photos do I have to download them to a site first? Then put the URL? if so might be a while but will get pics up soon! Oh and lol about the clutch I guess that will be first!!!

I found you've gotta be careful what people say about these LS1 engines, on one site it said they were made in Mexico in the VT's when they had the problem with piston slap. In fact, they're all built in Canada , the oil pressure switch however, is made in Mexico, I ordered one last year from the U.S. which was for a Z28 Camaro which also has the LS1.
