only doing 12s with 243rwkw? happy dyno Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

either that or manual on street tyres? 115mph isn't too far off is it?

MPH is pretty much there, must be manual. and Nick I seen this with my own eyes, changed my mildly modded injected VK Calais from stocko Airbox to KandN Pod and it picked up 3rwkw. Its not 10 but its something.

a stock VLT manual has approx. 115-120 rwkw so 50 rwkw from cooler, exhaust and cam would be a bit hard to get. 150rwkw sounds about right. correct me if im wrong

"the rate of rwkw exponentially increases with the number of people that have been told"

ntonio is king of posting chinese whispers lol

I gained about 3rwkw by removing JUST a panel filter and thats on a 3.8L N/A and only running VSSC intake. On the same dyno day an r32 made 11rwkw by just removing the pod filter in his final dyno run of the day just for a ****s and giggles. Also seen an ls1 at Mikes do about 20rwkw when they decided to just run str8 throttle body.. Which works good since they run a Forward Facing Throttle Body and with the bonnet up your getting a **** load of air. A mates VN achived 97rwkw,98rwkw,99rwkw and then i told them to pull the filter out to compare it vs what mine did and he got 106rwkw, If anybody has an answer to the power gain NOT being from the no panel filter be my guest to tell me, cause its the only way ive seen people get bigger readings. The difference of poping a filter out on the dyno is that you dont have to care about dust/dirt/debry since the fan has already cleaned up anything during the 1st few dyno runs, and you can show of the nice sheet and say 'Look i got proof on paper!'

bahahaha our turbo diesel nissan navara, with LPG on made as much power as your mates VS Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

This (http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_0779/article.html) is the article I was referring to before. Now, sure, the whole intake system pre throttle body (as on the LS1 you mentioned) can provide a fairly big restriction but i'm talking about just the filter. On a stock VL the filter isn't that much of a restriction, certainly not as much as the other associated piping. Some pod filters on the other hand can be quite restrictive (particularly the ones with smaller filtering surface areas) and I wouldn't be surprised if you could gain power by removing those. Still though in lower power applications (200rwkw-ish) we are still only talking a couple of kW's.

wat if u run the dose pipe out the headlight all the way out the headlight to the fan infront of the dyno, effectivly RAMMING air into the turbo! pwoahh easy 20rwkw twingcharge! loll

How does an R31 2 door weigh in at 1500kg? Meh.

Wow hasnt this got off topic../.

yeah wouldnt think they be that heavy... mine is exactly 1300kg race weight so thats 3/4 fuel in tank and me in it etc....

Correct me if i am wrong. 100% right. If it takes 50kw to turn the driveline. It takes 50kw's if you have a 100kw at the engine or a 1000kws. There are a few variables like heat dissapation/gearbox type etc etc but from a pure physics standpoint what it takes is what it takes.

Duke57TT did you read the thing i posted at all? Heat is power. We're talking about it being a percentage because of the Heat/Stress the extra power will put on a component, therefore losing more of the power. I'm not gonna argue it black and blue, because it is something that everyone has a different opinion on.

So idealy this should trap 100-105mph... (not 100% sure on his exact weight?) If you go to the track and trap those speeds then your about on your money.... I think alot of you people forget about CFM .. If you can push more air in without restriction then of course you will make more power and not necesarrly show a bigger PSI reading.
