my turbo kit was close to 4 g i suppose putting a head on and internal with nothing on the out side is 4g, but then u add injectors inlet manifold fuel rail ruel reg, ignition, ecu, wiring, fuel pumps surge tanks stronger trans or clutch getting my head rebuilt and head gasket was $1800 which is half your rebuild, and that was just the head but mind u i have 15psi at 3500 rpm, and 21 psi before 4000k (lots of wheel spin from 3500 up so hard to tell :P) but the datalogger had 21psi it just before 4000rpm which i was dam happy with i suppose depending what your budget is and what u want to do if i had my time again i would have just brought an rb26, and got a 6boost single turbo kit, (next mod, rb26, good bye rb30) on another note, a mate has 500hp autec stagea, (rb26 running gear wagon) that's thing has **** loads done to it, very nice to drive, but unless your around the 5000rpm or high it's not really on song, mind u it does rev to 8000 something on the other hand i get the same sort of feeling from 3500rpm, and i know that the stagea ways over 1700kg or something stupid like that, but it will be pushing to break a 10, and cost close to 20k to rebuild.

Well this is how I came to 4 grand Rb25det and turbo box- 3'gs Motor: .50 tho oversized cast N/A pistons - Forgies not needed, not breaking world records Crank linished, new bearings etc.. shot peened rb30 rods RB25 twincam oil pump 1.5mm Oil restrictors Standard Rb25 head with provision for VCT Standard manifolds, turbo, injectors Standard r33 computer Extras: NIZPRO FMIC Pod filter 3inch exhaust, high flow cat Bosch 910 pump, just for safety Results: 158rwkw @ 6-7Psi Ultra responsive motor The Torque this thing puts out is unbelevable, just about perfect for the street it could use maybe a bigger turbo down the track, But anyway, I dont think its fair to say they cost a fortune, It would easily cost near that to get an rb30et freshened up and running reliablely espically if you go to the wankers like rajab etc.

the rb25 engine feels a lot nicer than the rb30. if the actual driving experience is anything to go by i rate the rb25 much higher than the rb30

The only thing needed is wiring harness, and there are many people around that will do a plug and play style harness for $350-$450, it really couldn't be easier. 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

RB30 FTW. I'm not too keen on the rb25's with a big turbo for a daily. They don't seem to get up and go when considering the peak power they are making.

The trick is that you change the diff ratio to what was used in the Skylines. The RB30E is a more low down grunty torque motor than the RB25DE. But the RB25DE is more powerful from midrange upwards. Change the diff to 4.11 and it will feel completely different.
