I like the cannon, it sits in so its not wanky and not the biggest you can buy, What sizes is it? i think im going to go the same or a bit smaller. Love your car man, wheels top it off so well.

WELL i got my car back now yeaterday ..... goes so good now i am loving it all i can say is thanks to Paul ( gas747 ) and Andrew at preston auto and diff. done a brinlant job thank you guys ill get better pics latter... just a bit gay as i think i did the headgasket... That shifter looks badass dude, very cool! So you're getting your diff rebuilt for $550? That the centre rebuilt, gasket, oil, bearings, bearing cups, axle bearing, axle cups, axle seals and studs?

Cashed up Muzza aye haha. Only problem with the quicksilver shifters are the shifters them silves are so tall you know.

Hello Everyone. Well i will first like to say that its been nearly 4 years since i have posted in my thread, and not much has happened to my build, but got more mature in life, and taken off all the " muzza " sh#t. The Calais has just been weekend car that i could take out here and there and know that i wouldn't have problems. enjoy a little time with it out of the garage, not much has been done. but getting all the original things back on the car cleaning up the interior. and changing a few little mods along the way. Pin point a few little things - Muzavl plate, gone since 3 years ago ( Vic standed plates, but soon to be on club reg ) - 4 inc Cannon, gone ( nice 3 inc kick up ex-housed ) - Aftermarket steering wheel, gone ( original Calais beige steering wheel ) - Dose pipe, gone ( air box setup ) - Bresciani stickers, gone - Red and white seat covers, gone ( only sit inside now if i have clean cloths on ) - Crappy old aftermarket head unit, gone ( pioneer average head usb/ipod/aux ) - 19'' sigs,19 ve ss,18s white rims, fr17s.gone ( no rims, been on stands for about 2 months ) So far that's about all for 4+ years, been quiet, moved out with a wog chick. up in Altona for 1.5 years, didn't work out, then back home for about 4 months. now i have moved out with a AUSSIE chick, been strong for 2 years and i love it.... always loved the Aussie side of things. no wonder i was born here. :P............. Now everything back on track and saving, soon to buy a house. iv put a side some money for the Calais. my intentions for now is make it as neat as i can. + New bumpers and panels. + Calais bottoms re-painted. + New antenna replaced. + New badges. + Gloss black. ( mirrors, black bottoms, rear top garnish and eye brows, door handle, window wipers, bonnet vents ) + Chrome strip. + Neaten the cooler piping, less pipes and black silicon's hose's. ( not blue ) + Electric glass 3-way sunroof. + FR20'S. + Battery in boot. + Fuse box, in mirror compartment. + Heat shield. + General engine bay tidy up. Iv gathered that i need to do all these little things before i build my engine, and paint the calais, last before finishing off is the interior. note this neva be be done, once i can AFFORD to by my house. Then i can strip this thing, and finish the calais right OFF. Allllll i want now is a CLEAN. VL CALAIS TURBO. ( original t3 set up, clean the bay up as much as i can ) WHO GIVES A RATS ASS IF I AM STILL ROLLING AROUND WITH A T3 SET UP, i will appreciate driving a clean looking calais turbo, enough said. Sooo, so far i have purchased a few things on the list. ( ill put some pictures up soon ) # Repair the 3 speed, since no check up for over 3 years. ( another 2k ) # Fiberglass new calais bottom. ( from Sydney ) # New Australian own. heavy duty battery. # Simmon's FR20 POLISHED, khumo tyers. ( Tempy Tyers, Sydney ) SORRY about my GRAMMAR. i may have changed, but my spelling is still ****. Thanks fellas I like seeing them each time i walk in , also they are 8.5 in the rear. iv been hunting around, on phone trying to get some prices on a few things. so far. * Brand new 3 way electric sunroof, best deal cash. 2k * A/C condenser and radiator, ( no fan ) genuine/new $200 ( want to get my air-con going Neva had it ) * AEROMOTIVE fuel pressure regulator $186 eBay delivered ( upgrade from the bosh standerd fuel reg not sure if its worth it ) ? I am having trouble trying to put the heat shield back on but my bolts have snapped inside the turbo manifold, i cant seem to drill em out or use self tappers,. " has anyone given this a go to put the heat shield back on " ---------- Post added 11-07-13 at 19:49 ---------- vt Brake booster and vt master cylinder, need someone to weld that bracket on. then i can fit it. been years now but i got Pedders Sports Ryder suspension SSL kit, miss the calais wheels!!! another old one Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
