Also a quick note that with a manual gearbox, there is less power loss than with most autos, which is why dyno queens prefer manual boxes. Manual cars are usually quicker until they hit the mid 13 second range.

I wouldn't talk up an RB30 just because is has a larger capacity then your average 2.0L 4 banger. 1.0 extra litre means stuff all. Have a look at the '90 CRX and the N13 SR20DE Pulsar. The CRX is a 1.5-1.8L engine and it would still smoke an N/A 5 speed. Newer tech, and power to weight kicks ass in most cases.

People need to learn that your stock auto NA VL is NOT a race car. Dont treat it like one. You'll save fuel, save wear on the engine, and save yourself from fines.
