Pimp_Hoe: Holy **** I've just lost a large portion of bandwidth thanks to your stupid ******* reply. Its stock, you wouldn't know the first thing about "real" modifications. And why the **** would you even consider jumping on the dyno?

wtf is everyones problem with the vq? why do you care whether he's got "heaps of work" to his car. the **** is on his l's. If he DID have heaps of work done you would probably complain its too much power for a young driver. ****, the guys put effort into improving the car in which way he see's fit. Its got a nice clean interior, good sound/dvd system and looks mint on the outside. whats wrong with it? its not like its riced up or anything with stickers all over it and ****.ive seen worse vl's on here to be honest. have some respect for the effort people put into cars, and the smartass who said "I didnt know this was the VQ forums " I quote SirGeo when I say this "No, you do not have to have a Calais or a Turbo to be a member. If you've got a N/A executive or anything else, doesn't even have to be a VL you can still be a member." Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I wasnt there so I cant realy comment to much but it is possible that the reading taken was a calculated engine power reading. If they were ramping the car up to 100kph 2 or maybe 3 times it measures the drive train power loss, then it re maps the dyno's calculations to show an engine power reading. This could be a reason for the higher readings, especially of about 80 kw, which sounds about right. On AVO's dyno mine made over 350kw on an engine run, then made about 290rwkw. Sounds about right hey? Also dynos are very different, mine supposedly made 290rwkw on AVO's dyno (with about 3mm missing off three cam lobes) changed the cam with very very close to the same on, so you would expect to a least make the same but probably more power. Took it to JPC and straight up power run it read on 260 rwkw I thok it was, JPC then tuned it to make 320rwkw on their dyno, and it felt a ton quicker on the road test, spun right through 3rd gear with as close to a race slick as you will get for the road. So as two89 said dyno's are proving to show very little consitency between 2 different machines, and if you ask any one from a dyno company about which brand is more accurate the answer you will get is, A dyno is simply a tool for tunning. Stick to one dyno to seen any results good or bad. Sorry for the long post. And give the pimp a break, there is enough tools on these forums already with out you guys trying. Who really cares what mods are or arent done to it, its not my cup of tea but neither are one tonne utes. But Kane you will never hear me say a bad word about yours cause its your pride and joy and I have to much respect for you and your ute. So ease up on him guys.

Its a nice car fair enough, some things I don't agree with, eg. rims and others... if I was the owner however, I wouldn't be an utter knob and think its the best thing since sliced bread.

whats wrong with the VQ? it looks preety sweet.. rims might be a bit to big/bling.. but hey, i prefer 17's (i might just be too old )... still overall i'd drive that anyday... if it moves as well as it looks i don't see why anyone should have a problem.. but hey, just like people have the right to an opinion that they like it, they also have a right to a negative opinion towards it.. if you have a negative one.. no good will come out of voicing that opinion too loudly. but then again don't get to uptight if after posting our pics you get a negative post or two... i say well done to anyone that had their car on show.. except maybee the ultra ricers ... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

88 Chaser, i understand your point about dyno reading's and i dont know to much detail on dyno machines myself but your at a auto show/auto salon etc. etc. where organises want to please the crowds i could almost put my life on it the numbers arent to what the car really has (not always the case thou some could be close to some very very far off), not taking anything away from the cars but noone wants to sit there watch a 200sx with exhuast and rims they looks nice and no guts push 150rwkw if that im sure on there dyno it'll say its making atleast 250rwkw to get people into it more.. they want 500-600-700rwkw (not many of the cars there are capable of it) to get people froffing to see big power figures so they would be looking at raising final numbers of the cars. i could be wrong but like i said the person who i know entered and numbers there where alot highly then car was capable was questioning it.
