28-06-06, 18:29 GMT+10#81 and they don't weigh 700kg's you fuckbag, try 935KG & a stock turbo one has 78.3KW @ the engine which would have to be 50 - 60kw at the wheels which is poo in any language. http://www.carfolio.com/specificatio...r=24882&Nissan (http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=24882&Nissan)
If he's running 6 psi a stock VL would be very close and with some mods you could possibly win.

28-06-06, 19:13 GMT+10#84 lol, ca18det will produce around 130kw stock, whats with this talk of 70 odd kw??
not to mention the fact im not the only one to tell you that you have no hope, just because im not a VL driver you all take a swing.
Basically, your VL makes less power and is far heavier.

Thats the kind of stereotypical VL driver reply I was waiting for.
All im saying guys is
a) its stupid to pit a stock VL against pretty much any turbo car, period.
b) he's already stated that his mates exa is a ca18det; hence from the box it makes more power than a rb30e
c) Oh dear, so i was a little out with my weight estimate. Sorry i'm not an exa expert. But an exa is lighter regardless.
Not to mention the way he wrote his first post was rather idiotic, which in turn created an idiotic thread that already has gotten out of hand in 3 pages.

28-06-06, 19:43 GMT+10#87 if his car is an sl manual , he could get his car very close to 1000kg with all excess **** removed, and low fuel.

28-06-06, 19:51 GMT+10#88 yeh, but he wouldnt bother when he's still got a good 15kw at the fly AT LEAST to gain.

and read it this time numnuts it says:
935KG
78.3KW
getting beaten by a VL
Priceless
and check this out aswell:
http://www.carfolio.com/specificatio...r=34331&Nissan (http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=34331&Nissan)
according to the power to weight ratio a stock R31 skyline would beat a turbo exa

28-06-06, 21:06 GMT+10#90 hey hsv trev thats the specs on the 1.5L exa (83), i believe he is talking about the later 80s/90s one with the CA18det, which would have more power but also weigh more. Would still get smashed by a vl tho.

have you even read the thread?
its not an N12 exa turbo, its an N13 exa, which were released with CA18DE engines. this one has had a CA18DET dropped in, and hencec, has approximately 130kw.

29-06-06, 13:26 GMT+10#95 lol, seriously guys, VLs and R31s with rb30e's are great cars... stock can chop a lot of newer cars....
BUT, they have limitations. And thats about 90 odd kw at the treads (Stock).
An Exa (1.8, NOT 1.5... get facts straight please)... Will have no issues chopping a stock VL. VLT would own it, but not a stock rb30e.

29-06-06, 15:34 GMT+10#97 OK so an extra .3 of a litre will increase the power by about 50kw? anyway I am sick of this one so I'll keep my nose out of it.

29-06-06, 15:43 GMT+10#98 You could drag the exa man with one of those remote control cars
now that would be a race
got the RC car

29-06-06, 16:25 GMT+10#100 Unbelievable, either race him or dont race him, but move on! If you decide to race him, do it at the dragstrip, not on the street.
