crap all.. it's all done to the head. Bit of welding water gallaries.. and bolt it on. I o-ringed mine, using a standard genuine Nissan gasket, came up a treat. I paid around $1500 for a R33 head complete with inlet manifold. $1300 for a full reco and to modify it to fit the RB30 block. Cams havent been touched yet. The RB30 block got dipped, and cleaned, o-ringed, honed, new ACL race series bearings, SPOOL rods, CP forgies (8.8:1 comp), balanced brand new VLT oil pump, romac balancer, JPC race sump, for around $6000 or so.

yeah 10-11mm. we're gonna see how it goes, if its a problem we'll drill and tap it with the bigger ones.

Bro, I thought for the RB26 head you don't have to do any welding or anything? I thought it drops straight on with RB25 headbolts/ studs like you said? Jason.

yeah, but to drill it and tap it for the bigger ones was $450 odd.. can' really be justifed, unless these ones fail. I don't recon they will, a good friend is using em and making 700rwhp in an R33 26/30 with those studs. Every engine is different i guess. Thats the way to do it tho, I have an engine stand with an assembled long motor on it, then when JPC have my gate, turbo and exhaust package finished I'll bolt that on. Gonna get the inlet modified a bit too.

cp 8.2 pistons suit single cam, if u change to rb26 head could u use them pistons or comp will be to low

It would drop the compression down to low I would think.

yeh i been told by spool but they make cp 8.2 for twincam i dont see difference in comp if both are 8.2

Chamber size between the two heads, piston dish size etc.. the cp pistons would be more like n/a pistons in size as a very basic reference.
