Only got to race the sucker one meet so far, so am hoping the tune wasnt magically spot on!
Also got a sheet metal ram to bolt on once the single plane Active has brick walled... (thanks SLE383 ((i think)))!
no worries mate, hope your times drop, i think they will its a good bit of gear.
i will post some pics of my engine when it finally gets done shouldnt be too long now.
Ive sold my carby setup and have taken the car off the road because ive finally gotten off my arse and bought a GT42 turbo for it.....
I'll probably start in a few months the installation of it and the fuel system etc etc
Yea im pretty excited. The turbo is roughly rated at around 1000-1100hp. Similar sized engines have made around 800rwhp with one of these and since my engine was good for over 500hp NA, my heads dont need to be touched, just a good selection of cam and compression will yield the results im after.
Only time and money will tell

Compression now is about 10.7. Im going to whack it all on, change cam and run maximum 7psi. Beauty about EFI is that even though the compression is fairly high, can take out abit of timing etc and the car should run fine, tuneabilty is heaps more precise. As it is, LS2s have 10.9 compression, dont have forged pistons and there are bolt on kits for them, which are making around 550rwhp @ under 10psi
When it comes time to push 15-20psi into it, im going to get a crankshaft rebuilders 355 crank and drop compression to about 8.9 - 9.1 . I dont want very low comp because i still would like the car to be quite streetable, instead of being laggy.
In Zoom they put a GT42 on an LS1 and at around 10psi the car made 470rwkw. For the street, that is way more than enough
I want to start at 7psi to be safe, but only once on the dyno will we know how much more boost we can have without it pinging with the compression it currently has.

What exhaust housing ELA? , 1.15?
Can't believe how many v8's run 10's on pump fuel through mufflers, it never happens in s.a
avgas or pull that much timing out of them on pulp that they lose 100hp
and rev and go nowhere. Would be some decent atmo v8 competition on the #cough# street then, would be sweet
cheers

Yea it's a 1.15 rear. My ultimate goal is to run mid to low 9s on pump fuel and et street radials, which i dont think is impossible. Drive to the track, run a 9 and come back home
