I dunno, for me like the car getting stolen isnt a problem with me, its just no'in that theres some bitch actually having a good time thrashing it and having a good time stealing **** out of it is what pisses me off. I got a mongoose alarm with immobiliser and backup siren with clublock and killswitch and lock it in the garage, if there gonna take it there gonna take it. another good thing when buying a alarm is getting all black wires, that way makes it 10times harder as all the wires are black.

I leave mine wherever i feel like leaving it. yeh ekul all-black wiring is definitely handy, but by the time they even see it they have the car far from your house and in a secure location. It is disturbingly easy to bypass an immobiliser. If somebody fcuks with mine, the car silently pages me and tells me which part of it has been triggered. (doors, boot, bonnet, windows power source or air pressure). then it gives me 180 seconds to get there before the actual alarm on the car goes off. And if they manage to steal it in that time (before i get there with my baseball bat) I can operate the kill switches and power down the actual ECU by remote from up to 1500 metres away. If somebody successfully steals it, they deserve it, and i have insurance. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hehehe. as long as you have 1. insurance and 2. good anti theft devices I don't see why you can't park it anywhere, putting the risk of people reversing into it aside, if you park it down some dodgy side street or in some dark corner of the car park ofcourse its going to get broken into or stolen no matter how spendy the car is. My WB one tonner is easy to break into and even easier to steal and I leave that everywhere, cost me 30k to build the thing and I love it to death BUT theres a limit on how anal you should be ! I just make it harder for them by parking it in well lit and well populated areas plus take the rotor button out or just take the battery if its going to be there over night out front a mates place. Theres alot of simple things that can be done to stop them driving it away (just not tow it ! but if they are that keen to get it then theres not much you can do) Just remember, its a VL not something worth a load of cash which is why its stolen so often, easy to get rid of parts cheep without questions. Not trying to dis the whole VL thing but when you can buy a VL Calais under 7k its no prize. Altho talking about a mans pride and joy is another story and even a 1k bucket is worth more then someone could give to that person. just sad the thieves just see it as their next cheep hit of cocaine. oh well thats my rant for today haha don't take it to heart just giving my point of view

my n/a vl has been broken into many times, i have had it for one and half years before that it was my grandpas(he has onother vl). since i had it it hasent been broken into. when he had it it was broken into 4 times at south melbourne church(greek orthadox) all 4 times they tried to take the raidio and not once they did take it out all 4 times they broke the window, another time at south melboune market they stole three of the 4original hudcaps, he had a diffrent hudcap for every wheel, so yes sometimes they only want the parts not the whole car to add on to that, when he still had the car we bought him a tip, next time at curch they took it, since i have had the car i have not had any extra alarms or anything put on it since i have had it and it has not been broken into once, but i did catch someone staring at it once.

i feel for you boys with the vl's especially after hearing about how easy they are to steal. But at the end of the day if someone wants your car that bad they will eventially get it, just got to hope your secuirty options work as well as they can and be smart about where you park it. i disagree with the comment you should be able to park it anywhere, i have a ve which has massive amounts of secuirty integrated into it and i still never ever leave it anywhere i cant see it... my 2 cents dave

when i had my last vl calais turbo, same thing at movies i would go out and check it atleast 4 times a movie.. and it had all the **** alarm, club lock, immbo, the lot.. so i relized i brought a daily and put my car in storage for 90$ a week.. where it was locked in a shed, then had the MASSIVE steal gates, that you need a pin code to open, then at 6pm to 6am had 2 rottys walking around the site.. and on weekends i'll drive my daily there pick it up and kruise and take it STRAIGHT back when i'am done.. and take the ****ter home.. worked well for me.. but i sold it so now i dont have anything to worry about until I get another one..

Bro that comment u said i completely agree with it, because one of my mates that lives at Bryton has a cousin with a tow truck business and if he wants a car he just calls his cousin then takes it away on the tow truck, he did this with a mazda rx3 that he wanted. personally i feel sorry for who evers car he's takin.
