hey SirGeo and yellow bt1 owners,i was out on the weekend with a mate and met this Officer that works at the dandy police station. His job is to organise events to help the dandenong community,eg Dandy talent show at the plaza,basketball games with police v's internation students etc.told him about your idea and he said it could be well aranged(photo shoot with some yellow monaro's ect). Just head to the dandy police station and ask for the guy thats hosted(mc'd) the last 2 dandy plaza idol show and they'll lead u in the write direction(guys name i think was johnno,he loves his cars,ownes a slammed hilux). All the best and loook forward to seeing the photo's,its a awsome idea to hold this event for yellow bt1 owners rgrds GP P.S. JC i hope you still have your car for the shoot,i know how much youve been looking forward to event such as this.

And leigh you were pretty lucky not to get pulled up mate coz u know the s h i t you would have been done for you silly prick... plus hurry up and run that thing in! Dandenong is a fair drive but damb worth it if it all could be arranged and have highway monaros as well.. Sweet!! And are we still leaving the date as the 6th of May too? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I'll give them a call tomorrow. Date i don't think you should all be too set on, i'll see what they say. But does anyone have objections to Dandy? i know it's a bit far for people, and ideally it would be good if we could get a central police station. As for keeping other vl's away, i'd say if the guarantee only was for yellow bt1's i know it would keep the others away from a cop shop Anyway we/you all can decide how to go about arranging once we can get more info, if you want you can do it all through PM's to organise the initial meet point and times etc. And just get the others to organise a cruise and meet up with them.. up to you all. Can we get a confirmed list of numbers so i know what i'm asking for? yellow bt1's only.. *Just wanted to add, if anything maybe "invite" the other coloured bt1's aswell... not necessarily for the yellow shoot, but if we have time we could add them aswell...

couldn't get through to the officer in dandenong, was told to try call at 3. And waiting for "tab" to give me a contact for the fawkner station, i'll just let them know what we have planned and see what they can do, and you can all decide from there.

Spoke to James at Dandy police station, great cop, but… Dandy station would be unavailable to more than 10 cars. If we want to do it at dandy he suggested we only have 5 or so of the best (most roadworthy looking) bt1’s and we can organize it. Allot of different reasons, he most major one being – not enough parking out the front/side, and also that the (commissioner or something like that) is based at that station, and he/that station can’t really be seen as promoting “illegal” modifications. If there were 5 or so he could help organize a nice display.. but really we want all you guy’s in it. What he suggests, is that we find another “public” venue (bunnings, calder or sandown (if they will open up for us) etc) and he and his partner would be more than happy to come down in some highway/patrol cars for a photo shoot. He guarantees he and his partner wouldn’t hassles you all, but wants to just make it clear you are on your own getting too and leaving from the shoot, he said he will make sure there are no cops waiting to get you as you go out, but can’t do anything if you get pulled over by cops from another station in another area. I’ll still try and contact a few more stations and see what they say.. but what do you think of his idea?

fantastic. all lined up at sandown! Id think a large grass paddock would look MUCH better than a carpark with trees and concrete things all over it (thinking of photo quality)

dunno wat he is talking about i go past there everyday there r plenty of car parks out the front ah well i guess if they say no u have to listn lol
