98 octane fuel used.. na just driving it then bang! thought something major happened then saw some sparks near the firewall saw it was the lead, then switched the car off to find the spark plug attached to the lead!! got it sorted out just then, guy came and fixed it up, i cracked the plug but, so ill have to change it asap, still purrs like a kitten though. head and gate should get done in a few weeks now..

Bloody hell, how much cashed have you poured into this car over the last month or 2? Complete new turbo setup, intake manifold, ecu, rebuild, auto etc etc.

yep.. a bit more than anticipated... after the head and gate, then try and get the timing spot on, no more work.. get it looking pretty with wheels and paint, 300 - 320rwkw is plenty enough for me.. i just dont wanna aim too hgh n get shot in the foot again.. but not going to complain with the power its making now..

Yeah 300 is heaps for a street car. In my 1800kg AU XR6 300rwkw was heaps. In a 1400 VL it would be plenty of fun.

300 is almost overkill on the street, but when it comes track time then i spose you need as much as u can get.. hows your build going anyway?? had it tuned yet?

2km down the road.. tyres dont go that far!!! lol.. na im not abusing this engine package aye, gonna try my best to look after it, put a lot of time and money into it so my ****head days are pretty much over.. just nurse it through the day, race occasionally then take it to the track and open it up.. every time i fry em its a set of tyres... quick way to throw 400. so no more of that.. i wanna see 100 000km out of this package!! lol..mb not quite
