i really wanted a lh torana in high school, as my mate had a 186 bored to 196 or something, with holley, m20 box etc... then i found out about the vlt, bought afew mags and really started to like the shape, but the engine was the thing that won me. a mate got his vl calais 5L and i just wanted my vlt calais. but couldn't afford it. went through a vk calais 3.3L injected six, then r31 skline manual, then vl calais na, now turbo:-)

My older bro had an absolutely IMMACULATE calais NA morone over silver completely stock, like it still had new car smell. I craved it and i liked the motor but i somehow ended up with an R31 for my first car then i did some reading up on the hdt vl's (particulartly this one "LE 3533") as soon as i saw saw it in street commodores (many years ago) i knew i just had to have one... dark blue, showroom condition, completely stock but with a built up motor. but my budget wont allow for a toy of that nature for a few years yet... so i've built this beast to keep my cravings at bay for a few more years... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

to be honest, it was GMH-30L, when i 1st saw it in the mag i didnt know what a calais was, then was reading about it, got the paper the following week and purchased my 1st calais when i was 15. GMH-30L is a flawless car and ill always love the damn thing.

My old man bought the VL in early 1996 and nearly 10 years after, my parents went overseas for a couple of months. I ended up using their car as a daily for the time being cos i wanted to save on fuel and stuff. A few months went by and then suddenly i started to acknowledge the VL more than what i had used to in the past. I bought the VL off my dad in 2002 but until 2005 i didn't really care about it nor did i look after it the way i do now. A few months into 2005 i found this website, can't remember how i did so but yeah. Ever since, things have never been the same. Go the VL.

i dont know.. and i wish i never liked them ! although at one point i really hated VL's and i thought about becoming a cop so i could yellow sticker every "sik c*nt" who owns a VL.. now look at me i guess its because of the RB engine really, and the fact they are "affordable", which they really arent once you start playing around with them... it then becomes a headache Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Guess i grew up around the VL's with my parents having a 3L Berlina, my Uncle with a V8 Berlina and my Grandfather had the Calais Turbo. My parents didn't have it long and sold it just before i got my licence, but i did get to drive the other two. Always loved the VL SS Group A and that was the first VL i bought and every one since that i have owned has aso been a HDT or HSV model. All of which started life as a Berlina with the turbo engine. Only ever got to drive a 3L VL when my sister bought one. I'm sure in the future when space allows there will be more VL's to add to the collection. Corsa
