Now if you say to the police that you suspect the car they pulled over is yours, and you think the thief(s) may have put different number plates on it, then the police could go check at the thiefs house for the suspect car, and then check the vin and engine numbers you have provided, and hopefully you get your car back!

Brett, just read this whole thread. It's real scary hearing about both yours and Erin's experiences. Real sorry to hear about your car, man. If I see anything that fits the description of either your car or the suspicious guy's car, I'll write down the details and see if I can get a closer look at it and talk to whoever's driving it. Goodluck with everything, Luke.

Hey man best of luck in finding your car. Someone tried to break into my car when my brother drove it to work one night. Ive told him not to drive it there because there is always reports of cars being stolen there. And the first night he drove it u guessed it someone tried to break in. stuck a screw driver behind my solexs. Didnt work but. Just put a ****ing scratch and dent in my door. There are always a lot of little aborginal kidds hanging round there so no doubt it was one of them . o well least it didnt get broken into.. Any way best of luck finding the car in either one peice or just the shell CHeers MAtt

Its not that they can't do **** all, its the fact that they cant be bothered doing anything! hundreds of cars are reported missing everyday, and there is simply not enough man power to hunt them all down! Now you think if this vl was the only car stolen that week im pretty sure they could come up with a search warrant IF they really wanted to, it just takes man hours. (p.s i dont even think they need a warrant to check VINS, correct me if im wrong, but i thought they just needed resonable cause? like when the cops want to see your engine bay they dont have a search warrant???)

These low life pieces of S@!t stole my baby from down the side of my house behind locked gates. It was taken from the Engadine area just south of Sutherland in Sydney. I only just bought the car on the 2nd of december last year. I finally got it running sweet as after it was suffering from a dodgy catch can installation and an intermitant electrical fault that seemed nearly impossible to find. The rego is AD 81 KN and it is white over silver with a front mount intercooler and 19inch chrome ADR mags. It's a 5speed manual series 2 with blueish/grey interior. It also has a sunroof. I have a good pic if someone can host it for me. Let me know. Cheers. Now I'm aware that it's probably stripped by now and the chance I'll ever see it again is extremely slim but any info at all on the where abouts of this car would be greatly appreciated. Maybe you saw it driving last night or heard something. Anything at all please let me know. Thanks for tking the time to read this guys. Brett. i nearly brought that car dude from a bloke up sydney i actulally test drove it the car went awsome it sad you lost it would be nice to see u get it back i know that car was nice from personal experience

NIX-3LT- Yeah it wqas pretty farkin sweet ay? He didn't stuff around too much with me. He actually seemed really keen to offload it which I was a bit suss about. He was saying he had someone else on the phone wanting to buy it but he would rather sell it to me cos he reckoned i "seem good bloke who will look after her". Could have been true, could have been bull****. Who knows..... I probably still have the for sale ad with the phone number somewhere but whats that gona do for me? "Ah hi did u steal the car back mate?" "Oh yeah sorry man hey here's where its at now just go get it back, sorry man" I think not. I'm not even sure it was him. There's heaps more suspects than just him. Its just something I guess I'll never find out.

He seemed heaps sus to me as well .. and the reall weird thing was... a few months before i went and looked at a diff vlct in the same area (just down the road ) at a panel beaters shop that another bloke had 4 sale... He said he worked there?? dunno really.... but i didnt like it much anyway. Then when i went to look at the one you brought 3 months down the track (very nice). The same guys were selling the one you brought and both times extremly keen to off load the car in a hurry.very weird..the reason he didnt want to sell to me was cause i had a bank cheuqe i even offered to go cash it with him. But he insisted on cash. After that i changed my mind even though i could of got cash i dont like carrying it... so now im still waiting for 1 in the meantime im enjoying my ss still.. anyway just thought i would let you know then again might of just been his mates car like he said when i asked him what he was doing in the passenger seat and was just a 1 off thing. I dont know.. somthing about em that didnt come across right at all. by the way the ss (185kw 5 speed) is up for sale or swap for vlct pm me plz no posts Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That is wierd ay. He insisted on cash aswell. I gave him 5g's cash and 5 as a cash cheque. Got to admit from what your saying, the whole situation there sounds pretty sketchy.
