thanks for the comment!ok the green vh had a mick atholwood built 308 some of the specs,11.5.1 compression, crow solid cam, keith black forged pistons,o ringed block,750 annuler holley, harrop manifold, duel 3 inch exaust,5200 asnu converter, car ran a best of 11.7,i sold it to western australia about 6 months ago!my blue vh i had before was featured in streetcommodores about 2 years ago with 2 other vh commodores, but it didnt look like that when i bought it!i had the motor rebuilt by russel jones race engines on the gold goast.it was a 355 stroker 12.5.1 compression, surecam solid roller cam,srp forged pistons, come stroker crank, scat rods,950 hp holley,th 350 box with 5500 converter fully manulised,9 inch with 4.33 mini spool,in the picture it has a harrop duel plane but i ended up putting an active hirise on it,i never got to take it to willowbank but on the engine dyno it made around 580 on avgas so i assume it would have went easy tens.any more questions im happy to answer them!cheers.

yep thats correct it was with a tt 253 vh and a 10 second yellow one that is still around i believe!the car was a great starting point for what i wanted to do with it so i made the long trek from the gold coast to buy it,then got it transported up here,it was also featured in qld streetcar while i had it!it was a very tough car and i regret selling it

28-02-06, 00:53 GMT+10#93 ido11, **** I always wondered what happened to Carey's old vh, last I heard it was spotted in Queensland with dragways and a scoop and was on its 3rd engine and still not running right?! Was hunting for pics but couldn't find any. Was definately a nice car
Also your old green vh is in Perth now yer? It ran like 11's with standard heads over there and is shooting for 10's

28-02-06, 12:22 GMT+10#97 yeah the guy who bought it is a bit of a clown anyone who has the slightest idea about motors will realise what has to be done to heads when you go running a solid cam that is the equivelent to a crane 300 solid!i mean it had 2.020 on the inlet and 1.060 exaust, yella terra bolt on adjustable roller rockers!he also tried to tell me that the converter was only 3000 stall thanks for telling me about the sight! the car will go easy tens if he puts some gas on it,thats what it was built for!

01-03-06, 00:52 GMT+10#99 How much did you end up selling IDO11 for mate?
The scoop definately looks different on it, is it just me or is the front a different shade of green?

01-03-06, 00:55 GMT+10#100 ido 11 hows it going, my mate who built the car blue vh carey has now moved to qld and seen the car, apparently to the guy that u sold it to was at some willobank meet entered in racing and burnouts he said it looks worse for wear now whish is a shame, but he also said the new holley, ice ingition, convertor, diff centre was takn out b4 this guy brought it, and replaced for different items? i dunno if thats tru but its been through 3 motors they claim, i still wish he hadnt sold it and he is still kicking himself in the head that he got rid of it, he should have parked it like i have and just payed rego each year!
