Have since spoken to grant today and he informed me that when checking with a timing light tonight, the timing was 5 degrees retarded from when it was tuned!!! The head split the day after the dyno, and he has since put a new head on it, when they put the dizzy back in, it was timed a little bit out(ahem, andy?) and when grant hcecked it tonight, noticed it was 5 degrees out!! Will be very interesting to see what MPH 20-30odd HP will add!!! The car was raced with the timing retarded, so I would be thinkin there is more good thing sto come for young grantos!!! 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

but if the tuner just did a full retune then the timing values in the computer should all be advanced +5 degrees or so until it was making max power yeah? cause the values in the motec table are just arbitrary, if you retard the dizzy by a notch (say, 10 degrees everywhere) and change all your timing table by +10 degrees then it will be exactly the same as before? btw kyle let me know if saturday or sunday is OK this weekend for me to come over, i'll have everything ready by then. i'll give you a call anyway sooner or later Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thats the point, the car was tuned, then it split the head. The dizzy was installed 5 degrees out to where it was when it was tuned, so now the reference angle in teh computer has been changed back 5 degrees to make the readings the same. Get it? 6BOOST
