well if you look at your tailights they arent flat. Put some masking tape in the gap between each raised bit. You don't need to though, it's only so the whole tailights arent covered in whatever you use. I just bought night shades and did a couple coats, came up good and plenty of light still gets through.

That was just a light wet sand with 1200 grit.. then some black gloss black .. with more clear coats over the top.. more of an experiment, then i started thinking of putting em on .. but went with calais lights instead. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ive done mine...but i sprayed the niteshades on the inside of the light very similar effect but without all the ****in round of sanding and tape n **** u just gotta spray enof in it so you can swirl it around a bit and get a even coat

Hey guys, tinted tail lights look sick, but when you get some half blind old prick behind you and your lights are dull from the tint and you go to brake and the old bugger cant see your brake lights come on, watch out mate, because you might end up with no tail lights at all in the end! However a simple third brake light on the parcel-shelf is a good idea Then you can have them as dark as you want! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
