God damn this has gone off topic.....Antho mounted hsi boost guage and has since movied it so i really see no point for this to be open apart from all you boys intarweb fighting bout gauges...Some people (fusion, muztek 04) like the big 5"...Alot of people don't it comes down to personal preference...I just don't liek it cause all the ricers have them and seeing a VL etc etc...I see them as trying to be fooli sik like the boys in mirages/lancers etc etc....Fusion you do have a valid point about why you use it...But i don't see why you ahve to monitor the whoel thing while racing if you have a small shift light but you brang up that you got it for cheap fair enough...My opinion is that if you were goin to put a 5" you should put it above the driver's side air vent, purely so it doesn't stick out like dog's balls so to speak.. Roy..

All of you stop bitching about monster tachos. This thread is about Boost gauges mounted on the A pillar. Who really gives a **** what kind of gauges people have, post up pics of what kind of setups, where people have them in their car. And after all it is THEIR car.

...Roy change the colour of your signature to either black or something easier on the eyes, you make the place look like boostcruising with crap in everyones signature.

Theres a bit of foam stuff behind the velour in the calais, but I believe the SL - Berlina's just had the vinyl glued to the metal on the A pillar. Just line up where you want it then mark where you want the holes and drill some small pilot holes, then screw in the bracket, piece of piss really, make sure you take your time lining it up so it is where you want it or else you will be in trouble.

ok. u have a '85 4wd, so maby u might be able to hear the diffrence in that, but in a car that sounds pretty much the same at 5000rpm and 6250rpm, u need a tacho, and when driving "hi-performance" u dont really want to be looking at ur tacho for when u have to shift do u? and my cars manual not auto, or are u blind ,cant u see the gear stick in my car? have u even been in a vl? yes my car is not turbo atm, but not all cars start off hi-po i am builing my way up there, and would rather know what my car is doing then risk it

You don't need the tacho to know the difference between 5, 6250.. lol It's just a feeling that you have when driving a car, you know when the powers gone, you don't sit there waiting for a light to come on.

if u are gunna have a monster tacho u can mount right down the bottom of the pillar is fits perfectly between your pillar and the side of the dash, IMHO i think it looks heaps better there!
