20-11-07, 16:18 GMT+10#81 What about wankers who put massive "DC" stickers covering 80% of the rear windscreen... but they don't and never have owned a pair of DC shoes.
Whats worse is they could have put that 30 bucks towards a decent pair of shoes.

its worse when they chuck the chev badge on but leave the SS badge on, so tacky

20-11-07, 16:37 GMT+10#83 its just like people in a exec or berlina saying they got a calais, because of the calais interior, and exterior
the hsv thing is ****ting me up the wall (when i say hsv thing, i mean tickford, fpv, sti, skyline gtr and all the rest)
its like they made more R33 GTR's than GTST's lol
the bodykit thing is annoying, the biggest and wildest bodykit IS NOT THE BEST (autobahn on napean highway near south road, that red piece of **** inside lol)
but the thing that annoys me the most, like REALLY THE MOST
on the back of HSV's (GENUINE ONES)
HSV i just want one
WTF WERE THEY THINKING?????
you have one, but you want one?

Ok 2 other things that kinda get to me, both to do with vlc's:
1)Nowadays when someone has a vl calais u gotta ask them if its a 'factory calais', thats so sad, i mean ppl who advertise "vlc for sale" and its actually a berlina w/ a front and rear on it....calling it a 'calais' is nothing but rice, ppl should be proud of what they got, i got calais tail lights on my bt1 cos they look better, not so i can tell ppl its a calais. There is no such thing as a 'converted calais' in my eyes, its either a calais or it's not. my 2/100ths of a $.
2)Oh yeah, and anyone who has a rear garnish with 'calais' on it when there car isnt....stupid imho, i just got a regular black on mine, i accept that it doesnt look as good as a calais one with the lines running accross it to match the tail lights but hey i could never drive around with badges on my car saying it's something that it is not, cos im one of the people who laughs. And yes, there are alot of us
I totally agree. I put a Calais front on my Berlina (which I restored and repainted), but I made sure to remove the sheild badge from the front. And I make sure to point out when people say its a Calais that it is really a Berlina with a Calais front.
I like the popups without the rest of the bodykit, and it is what it is.
I've seen a VT sedan with SS badges on the back and V6SuperCharged on the side. Make up your f*cken mind! Anything with the brand name of the car stuck across the windscreen gets abuse if they pull up next to me.
I'm sure they're probably quicker than me, but at least I'm not going out of my way to be a wanker.

20-11-07, 17:02 GMT+10#87 To be honest I hate HSV stickers on non genuine cars too. But somehow it was different 9 years ago when I bought my plate and started building my car... my engine and a few other bits were out of an HSV, does that count
Next car the EVLHSV goes on will definately be a genuine HSV
I don't mind the SS Group A sticker on walky reps though

They created the ute. they created the v8, they created the production line. and many more.
I would have an escort, cortina, or sierra (any cossie) over an holden.
ever seen a sierra cossie, escort rs2000 etc in action?
still hold records.
Fair enough if falcons aren't your thing, or slocus's, mundano's etc, but give credit where credits due.
back ot. Why cant a vn 6 be a HSV? SV3800, + 6, Xu6 etc. I love them. Because they get smoked by my corolla .
And many 8 cylinder VN,VP,VR,VS,VQ,VG were HSV enhanced, and had HSV everything, but i get what your saying.
The "I just want one" stickers on VHs and stuff are a laugh too.

Supercharged V6s featuring SS badging? I think not. Correct me if I'm wrong, but SS designates a V8 engine under the bonnet.

believe it or not but i have been to a few car yards where there has been vr-vs SS,s and they have had v6 under the bonnet! according to the yard sale,s man (the most trusting source in the world ) they did come from the factory like that but they are rare!

20-11-07, 18:30 GMT+10#94 Yes there was a Supercharged V6 VT SS... My Uncle had one... Ive driven both the VT SS V8 and Supercharged 6 and imo the V8 is alot better... the V6 pulls off the line abit quicker but losses its legs around 100-110 km/h where as the V8 is a little slower off the line but once shes off she wants to keep going...

20-11-07, 18:46 GMT+10#97 Surely thats just a badge swap yeah? I've seen heaps of V6 VT/VX etc with SS badging.
I have a set of HSV pedals, Steering wheel and nose cone badge on mine and wouldn't think twice about some HSV wheels. I don't care what people think, I reckon they're all improvements and lend some kind of continuity to the overall look.
Hell I lowered it and it's not because I want everyone to think it's a Ferrari! My car is not as the factory intended anyway so it's not like I'm molesting a HDT or even factory calais.
I understand all of the criticisms regarding stock jacked up execs on 15s full of HSV badges and Body kit etc, but some of you are just too harsh

some bloke in a lancer with full evo 3 kit and a boost guage on the dash asked my m8 in his r32 to race and my m8 goes "why the **** would i race your mock up piece of non turbo ****" n then the evo took off, not a spool nothing bone stock lancer with a cannon lol
