lol, wouldn't want a crazy friend in the passenger seat to pull the handbrake up or nuthin wen ur doin 190km/h. Prob just snap the cable, though u would lose control! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

umm.. i got 205km/h in a SL Manual... dodnt have much more go in it but i recon easy 210km/h to 215km/h but at 205km/h i was revving 5500rpm so about rev limiter area (6200rpm) youd be closer to 215km/h! But SPEEDING IS STUPID! Easy wa yto die i can assure you.. especially when you ()the Driver) panics to miss a roo or wateva.... usaually end up rolling ti or hittinga tree.. Now cmon VL commdore arent the strongest of cars!??? hmmmmmm...

Also the windscreen wipers wobble at 200km/h and the bonnet also riupples due to the wind blowing on it! CRAZY

haha, its bad enough doing 120 in an old monaro and the bonnet flicked and got caught on the latch... heavy on the skids, lucky it grabbed.. oh, and hitting a roo at 180.. i think your screwed either way..car would be munted something shocking, and if it was in the air, through the windscreen and you's are all munted.

Then the quater mile ended, have never been game enough to gone any quicker So i don't know what top speed i could do? Anyone think they can guess what it could do? I have a n/a auto with extractors, cai, hi-flo, advanced timing, etc and i tell u now i think u may have exagerated on those speeds a little, not sayn it wouldnt do it but not at those revs, if u were doin 90km/h in 1st in a n/a auto u'd be hittn the limiter which is just under 6500rpm

Whats an experienced driver gonna do if you loose control at 190?? Jump over and correct it for you? I'll say we're all pretty stupid for doing those speeds. It's illegal afterall.

Whys it more safer? hmm because u have more experience on your P's. Sorry i reckon your full of ****. Realistically whose dad would tell them to go do 190km/h/ I've been with my old man while he has been driving his car at some pretty reckless speeds over 220km/h in his SS but i have would never do it while he is in the car. Ur no better than the guy who drank beer. u may say that i have still done higher speeds than u in my VL but i have only done it once taking my mate to the hospital. Highspeed does ntohing for me at all. Way too dangerous and stupid. If i was on a track i wouldn't hesitate at all but on the road their are too many risks.

I don't like it at all. For starters u get caught by the cops at 200km/h and thats it for someone like me on my red P's, even worse for you and ur dad if u were caught on ur L's. As i was saying i have only done it once and i clocked around 205km/h, but it was an emergency and along the freeway at night without anyone around me, my mate was really worried about his sister in emergency ward with meniga****le . Never do that sort of high speed. I stick to around 120km/h when along the freeways and around 130km/h when travelling to Sydney from wollongong. 90km/h is just a stupid speed to require all P platers to do. Christ i was doing 90km/h to 100km/h along the freeway constantly on my L's after i had done 200 hours of driving and my parents trusted me. They shouldn't change the law i guess for speeds for p platers but it dosn't apply to all people who have had a lot more experience than ur average L plater who makes the 50 hours up so they can get their P's and then wonder why they crash. But yeh welcome to calaisturbo. WHen do you get ur P's??? I was curious about the car the first day i got my P's. I was too scarred to really give it a canning for months. Its more about the thrill of driving by yourself. (that was a great day). Nah first couple of weeks u will problery take it fairly easy, flatten it a few times obviously and do a bit of paddock driving which i did. Watch ur speed around residental and school zones. I got caught and lost 3 points and got a $203 fine. i don't know if extreme speeding is wrong with other people in the car. I mean they want u doing that speed otherwise they would insit u slow down. Its other people u have to worry about on the road and if u hit anyone at 200km/h ur gone. Good luck when u go for ur P's.Its a peice of piss, the lady i had was talking to me the whole time about mods i had done to the VL. P's is a joke. I can't stand them. Now their trying to introduce a curfew for P platers (green and red) in NSW so we have to not be driving after 9pm. Its a joke i was watching it on the today show, and the host was like "well do u really think green p platers who are 18 and 19 are going to listen to that when they are officially adults'. I mean their are so called experts making these rules up saying it will help but it will do jack ****. When u get ur P's do a defensive driving course. I did one about 2 months after my P's. Changed my driving and has helped me get out of many situations where people have swerved into my lane along the freeway, etc.

My old vl auto only had extractors and a 2 1/2ince exhaust and i could get the speedo to hit the trip computer reset button, but i got no idea how fast it was actually going. My pride and joy was eventually crashed into a power poll at 160k's. Peopl who steal cars should have the manners to atleast leave them in the condition they found them in
