I wouldnt have a clue about the temp sensor, but its really cheap so im replacing it anyway.
mine shows the temp fine too, like thats all fine, its not the temp gauge sensor, its a diff one, ill find the link tonight.
just from readjusting my AFM from 320 to 382 my economy has got alot better, now for each quater tank i get around 120km which is better than before which was about 80km
im gunna bolt the new bits up tonight see how I go.

11-07-04, 10:33 GMT+10#83 o2 sensor will lean tell the ecu if the car is running rich and the ecu will lean the mixture a bit if so, so i guess if ur o2 sensor doesnt work it could cause all sorts of trouble.
if it's running rich it will normally smoke, i was also told there is more chance of pinging and you can crack the engine head if its too rich

12-07-04, 11:58 GMT+10#84 o2 sensor is closed loop only ( if i remember correctly ) as is throttle position sensor? ( it's been a while ) . won't make alot of difference even if it's rat****.
first thing to change is thermostat. $10
and before you go out buying new sensors, test yours first. save yourself throwing away money when you don't need to.

A mate and I did it today. We checked mine first, it read 003. We were both like WTF! (I thought the multimeter wasn't set correctly myself) So we went and checked his AFM, and his was 499, so we went back to my car without changing the setting of the multimeter and checked mine again. 003!!!

13-07-04, 16:57 GMT+10#95 With the auto, non turbo VL I got 400, semi pushing it and 450, taking it easy but strangely with the manual box I get around 380 and thats just pushing it sometimes, anyone know of a good and fairly well priced place who cleans out AFM's and injectors in Melbourne around the Northern suburbs?

14-07-04, 13:27 GMT+10#97 Well I just came back from Geelong, it cost me $10 (92c/l) from the BP station (leaving Geelong, on freeway) to Eltham which I think is too much, by the way wtf is it with Geelong, I was trying to buy some Wild Turkey and Cola around 9:30 and every bottle shop (2) was closed!
