Its going to take more than 1 person to organise this. Going to need someone in Brissy to organise their end of things, someone in Sydney for the same reason, and someone in coffs to do the scouting around and find us somewhere we can park a ****load of cars and sleep!. Other than that there would need to be a heap of other meeting spots for all the people along the way to join in. Im sure that we could find a BBQ wherever we stay to cook up a feed that night, and the local bottlo wont know what hit em lol. Im keen, lets make this happen!!

So where do we start guys? We need to organise a date so we can all organise time off etc etc. I'll do what I can here on the coast so we can get our acts together down here. And remember school holidays goes to the end of January almost so any rates are goin' to be higher.Feb is a lot easier I think. Comments please? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah end of february is pretty good, plenty of noice. What about the weekend of the 28th-29th??????????? Some sort of camping ground or caravan park would be the go wih pleny of room for the cars and tents. Or if we decide to stay in a motel then boostedcal's idea of hiring securiy would be worth looking into. Hows that date sound??? Camping or motel???

there is a caravan park on the beach in coffs, and is walking distance from the bowling club and the hoey-moey bottleshop/beergarden..... if we all camp round the same area, and parkya car next to ya tent in some sort of a neat order, you would only need security between 11pm ans 6am....I dunno about some, but i reckon most guys including myself could afford $5-$10 each car to hire security......and that would allow you to sleep better i think. i couldnt imagine the caravan park being very expensive when they are selling a ton of unpowered sites....

Hmmm, just read this thread again, been a while since I've had a look. Seems to be end of Feb people are keen. After I get my car done, i'll have a look around and draw some maps up as the Bris -> Coffs people would make around about 4 to 5 pit stops, and I rekon sydney would have to make at least that if not more. Picking people up along the way and givin the cars a little breather... I'll look more into it next week. but this sounds like a fuggin mad idea...

Newcastle people will meet at the big BP at Beresfield at the very end of the F3. I reccomend that everybody fills their tanks there, and the not too modded cars will make it to Kempsey on a tank from there.......and there is lots of good food and fuel there...and the real guzzlers, not to fear, there are plenty of good places for fuel all the way through.....just have to exchange mobile numbers with the lead cars so that we all stop anyhow... This will definately light the east coast up for a couple of days.... Melbourne people are welcome too, but may need to leave 12 hours earlier than me...

Brisbane to Coffs should take 4-5 hours not including breaks so, Brisbane people could meet us Goldies at Shell Mudgeeraba then motor on to Ballina for a pit stop.Ballina to Grafton then on to Coffs, easy. The idea of 20 or so Vl's cruising down from here should be a real buzz. 21-22 feb or 28-29feb which one?

Personally I think it would be a good idea to ring the Coffs Harbour police and let them know we are coming, just so they dont freak out when a heap of VL's turn up on their doorstep.

I think the sticker idea is the go.....If everybody could pay someone in coffs, who could organise stickers and local security, via net banking which is free to setup, and can be done over net or phone. It is safe. That way all cars which are on the cruz, and not tagging along, can be all allowed access to the security, and wont be hassled by the local enforcers.... If anyone reading this has feedback, POST it up, we can all discuss it, agree or disagree on ideas, and make this the best cruise ever...

i like the idea of stickers to identify "official cruise cars" and also the need to inform the local police. if there is a decent contingent of people heading down from brisbane i'll be in on it, should be a good cruise! perhaps we could hire petros to guard our cars, simply supply him with a baseball bat and let him be?

Yeah brilliant idea, lets give them the heads up. I'm sure they will be there waiting with arms wide open, sorry I mean Defect books wide open ready to go to town on the cars. Personally I don't see it as a big deal on telling as I am sure there a thousands of cars going in and out of there everyday. If people act responsible it should be nothing more then a few cases of neck strain for a few local citizen trying to work out what the hell is going on.

I said to inform them as they will disperse us if we are all together. If we inform them, then they will know that we have some respect for authority, and are not "car hoons"
