Personally yeh why bother with a cheap imitation, especially when you're stuffed if you get defected for it. i'm intrigued to see pics, some close ups to show fit and finish too. Imagine going to buy a VL with a 'flip front' , you turn the lights on and no change and the owner sheepishly says to you " sorry it's a copy front, the eyelids can't work, it's just for looks" I'd piss myself laughing

umm persoanlly i woudlnt car i think they look ghey with the eylids up hence why most people disconnect the motors and it isnt illegal in qld anyway as the amount of light shown is with legal parameters. Just to let you QLD guys know too that theres a guy on the Gold Coast that will be manufacuring a similar style front shortly.........

The kit looks alright to me. if you want to go light weight in a dragster or you have smashed your front and cant afford/find a calais front at a decent price, then i say its a good idea. I think too many people with a are calais are getting touchy because berlina owners and the like might adopt the calais look? Each to their own really, i got my motors disconnected because i dont like the popup look. Ide by one of these as i have only connected my motors twice in 3 years just to see how gay it looked ! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I plan to get one, fair enough my car won't be a calais, but I'm not gonna go around pretending it is either. I just want the front lights to look less round. Sexier Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
