it's possible, yes. engaging at high RPM, ie. you're doing 60 in third with blower off and you plant your foot, BAM drops back to second, blower clutch engages at 3000 rpm, might not be too good for it. i'd just go the on/off switch in cabin. heaps easier too. but kaboomn reckons his setup works well.

well actually after driving stromy's car it was actually quite good and the setup seemed to work well. I think if i ever get mine on, i might try it like that for a while, but still have a switch to disengage the whole thing. Stromy has the same setup in his.

Hey guys, I'm new here, and I haven't got a VL, but i will certainly be buying one soon. I plan to supercharge it with the SC14, so from what you guys have learned from your experiences so far, what is the best way to supercharge the RB30, one that has power steering and a/c (I'm looking to buy a calais). To get a well designed setup going, how much would the costs add up to? blower, piping, wastegate, XF throttle body..(worth the money?) Also, it seems you guys have come to conclusion that mounting the blower after the throttle body gives a much nicer power curve. In practice, how the hell do you do this? Maybe once you've worked it all out, a guide could be useful? Much like the RB30E -> RB30ET guide? Thanks for the reading too, this is a quality thread Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
