What filter you use dan
Milk and GTS both have Paper Filters.....V8 has a K&N which was there when I got it (possibly from Marty).
I'm not looking for performance (especially from Milk ) so the Paper Filters work fine.

20-12-12, 21:42 GMT+10#983 Hey I have a stupid question, but you know how aftermarket head decks sit in the dash? They are on a angle then between the stereo and the air vents above there is that dash lip, can a flip out 7 inch screen fit and flip out without hitting that lip on the dash it's the one that says berlina or Calais what ever I want to get one but not sure of it will fit?
That's my stupid question thanks

21-12-12, 03:13 GMT+10#985 I've had K&N filters in every single car I've owned, from 4s, 6s, 8s, N/A, turbo and supercharged, and never had an issue

21-12-12, 18:15 GMT+10#990 hey guys, can anyone help
the mechanic said i had too many fuel regulators installed, but i think he's put me crook.
I have put the VL fuel tank in with the in tank pump and external as per factory, i also left the fuel reg from the donor car motor came from. that reg is after the fuel lines in engine bay before fuel rails to injectors, theres also the small one at the end on injector rail (still with me?)
304 injected 185kw VR Clubsport motor if that helps.
Now the mechanic removed the one from the end of fuel lines from tank saying i had too many regs and it didnt need it.
But now it feels like shes straving for fuel, bit gutless.
is he correct or should i put it back in?
any help would be great

never mind, turns out its the fuel damper he removed, which shouldnt effect it being slugish.

29-12-12, 13:22 GMT+10#992 hey guys. have recently had the dash apart to install a head unit in my vl. today realised my central locking is not working, is there any plugs I could have forgotten to connect behind the dash that would cause it to stop working???

29-12-12, 14:43 GMT+10#993 Nothing behind the dash that you should of disconected,Have a look at the two relays in the fuse box(no 7 and 8)The two closest to the bottom corner of the front screen.

29-12-12, 16:34 GMT+10#994 cheers for that. tried a couple of new relays to rule them out but nothing changed. can hear relays clicking when I flick the drivers lock switch. I can unlock all the doors with the drivers lock switch, but cannot lock them. its got me a bit puzzled.

something worth mentioning aswell, when I play with the lock switches I get a interference noise through the speakers

29-12-12, 17:34 GMT+10#995 Might be unrelated to the dash removal.
Maybe a wire has been crushed in door jam and its earthing out?

teed into the earth for the cigarrette lighter plug, I assumed the earth for the lighter plug would go straight to the body??. deffinately affects the stereo, when you flick the switch for the door lock, there is loud cracking noise coming from the speakers. its just strange how the doors are all unlocking okay, but wont lock back up.

02-01-13, 15:06 GMT+10#999 Done some investigationing on Swaybars today.....
In the Holden Parts Book-
Standard front bar is 26mm
Standard rear bar is 18mm
"Performance Suspension Equipment" (FE2) front bar is 24mm
"Performance Suspension Equipment" (FE2) rear bar is 16mm
Why does FE2 (what I consider heavy duty suspension) have smaller diameter bars than standard suspension?
Reason I ask is I picked up a huge (22mm) rear bar today but am cautious about fitting it...Would it make the rear too stiff and cause it to skate across the road instead of getting traction?
I'm hella confused
