Question, what did you spray the black window surrounds with and how did you prep them? Cheers pal I'll be checking in regularly Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cheers Dean. Windows surrounds sanded with 600 w/d rust converted any chips I found cut out an old car cover as taping newspaper outside is like flying kites I used squirts brand gloss black and clear. yeah it will not last forever but ill get a good job done on it one day. Short shifter is on and works great. Expenditure to date (not including car). Total:$4,563.00 A big chunk of that $1,750.00 is due to purchase of the mint condition R33 box (ran behind an N/A r33) and mx7 fitting issues. Which ill strip for cash (not literally) Items Sold for profit (after subtracting postage and purchase price) is: Total: $1,000 Made up of old parts I got for free and rare items iv sold. Bringing spending to date to a total of $3,563. or Total budget expenditure including car:[/B] - $6,563 or + $7,000 Not bad..

Cheers Dean. I primed the exposed bare metal wre I wet rubbed through and or repared rust. 1 dust coat black then 2 coats of black. 2 coats clear. some people go mental with coats but if you apply it correctly theres no need. with a car body Top Coat/colour (solid) I would do 1 dust coat then 2 or 3 nice flow coats That's spraying white over white so again no need to go nuts. Theres a kid in vic that I want to spary my car for undr 2K mates rates but ill be doing most the prep work. Going to get a full respray Morning blue over asteroid silver. respectfully lowered on Calais wheels (brush silver not mirror, so that the wheels match the silver under tone). Iv collected some 2 maybe 3 full sets of lower Calais door panels/plates, so they will go on soon. ill sell the rest. Got some Calais side skirts in Melbourne that will go on with the factory clips I bought for $40 off eBaY. HDT grill I picked up for $40 already WHITE haha so 2000nd it and polished it up. I used Two part resin to secure the 2 bolts at either end in. wacked that in looks good. Now just doing small jobs to clean it right up and bring some creature comforts back to life. Boost gauge is now located were the square plate was to the left of the steering wheel. Boot release is fixed. Bonnet light will go in soon. Door light switch's full set for $8 posted - because why pay $40.. New horn lol Number plate light Next mechanical job: The pinion seal in the diff has gone. $11 and a few hours should see it back in action. love doing **** my self as that's a $450 job up here. Will update with pics soon. Also if any one needs elec window Master switches let me know. a mate of mine who's a mechanic for RIO is reconditioning a ton of them. electrics, tabs, paint the works. Tried and true before being sold.

Full 3" Turbo back exhaust nice and clean. Not boost tapping it just yet but it makes around 4 psi with a subtle dose lol Fitted a pod filter on for the cooler months and now just enjoying a reliable cruiser. good to be back behind the wheel of a vl again.
