I'd start off by getting the dimensions and looking at how they mount then go look at your bay. or you could just ask if he has any pics of them mounted.

I was going to just put a universal washer bottle mounted in where the wiper potor is, as for overflow i used a universal catch can and mounted it next to the radiator, has the site tube and so on next to it...works like a dream, and power steering well who knows what ill do there just got the standard bottle mounted next to the other side of the radiator for now

Need to know a couple of things. What is the best thing to use to smooth the join in the strut towers where from factory there is messy sealant? Should i use a sandable and paintable sikaflex and sand it smooth or should i just use bog and hope that it doesnt crack? Also i want to re-route my brake lines as i've cut all the tabs off for the lines. where is the easiest and neatest way to run them? and if i need to clamp them to the body in places can i buy some sort of P-clamp or something to hold them and if so where from? Cheers.

I would be asking chubby about the towers, he says that if you weld an smooth they crack if it driven often, but if its just a show car its OK. Not shore what sealer he used. ---------- Post added 25-11-12 at 15:32 ---------- I would think a silicon based sealer would be no good as the paint won't stick.

When smoothing the firewall and removing the lip, how do you cut the lip off near the corners behind the strut towers? I'm finding it very hard and want to cut it back as far as possible before applying sealant.

The part where the window wiper motor sits behind, an where the bonnet sits on the rubber seal at the back of the bonnet? If so chubby just cut a very straight line at the bottom where the lip is just above it. Then just roll the lip up a tad an spot weld it about an inch apart the whole way across. Remember to spot weld on one side than go the other or middle, if you put to much heat in one area you will stretch an warp the metal

Tap it down so it sits flush with the skirt, weld it then grind with a die grinder. ---------- Post added 02-12-12 at 01:59 ---------- [QUOTE=gold-vlt;2977827]Need to know a couple of things. Make sure youve cleaned all the sealer off and weld it, then simply bog it! any other way will crack and using sealer just looks like **** in my opinion.

Bad pic but you get an idea of mine. Did quite a bit of smoothing after taking it back to bare metal. Happy for my first attempt of any more serious body/paint work on a car. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
