23-07-15, 21:46 GMT+10#110 Came across one at work this week not listed on the complete option code list page it is 2d011d April 87 vl berlina 233 pack v8. Colour is called commemorative gold and was used in 1981 on the 50th anniversary vc commodore (50 years since holden became part of gm) everything I've come across says it was only used on those vc commodores (300 cars) if anyone has any info on how this colour ended up on a vl please let me know

Another special colour. Thanks. With them being so old these days you just naturally assume it's been repainted, until you look at the tag and realise something doesn't quite look right.
You do hear all sorts of stories of special order colours (like the Gemini Gold colour on the previous page). These seem to be done for a favoured dealer, a special customer who was happy to pay over the top for a different colour, or maybe even a Holden employee or management that wanted a specific favourite colour.
If you could get a pic of the ID tags that'd be great.

Hope the pics can be made visible again. As this was a very good informative thread with the pictures of all the Colours

If you right click the photo and copy the image address and paste the pictures are still there. Just photobucket losing their marbles thinking they can get away with charging. I'll host the images tomorrow and make an updated post the thread starter can feel free to copy and paste if they want.
