did they tamper with the firewall when they put the 30 in the gemmy ank?I thought that was a big no no for 289 class.This is the most exciting little car too come out i cant wait too see it in the flesh!

This car throws haf those rules out the window, and to be honest, it should make no difference what is done to the car as long as its got a 28x9 tyre, I just want to know so I can build my own and customers car to the same rules the gemini has been allowed to if thats the way it is. Hopefully that clears it up, ifs it legal, sweet as, the 9" tyre is the limitation, I've had that argument for over 12 months now so other mods make no difference to me, I just want to know what the rules are so I can use them to my advantage too Below is a copy of the few rules in question: Andra rule book OM 4.2: Oem chassis rails with complete OEM floorpan and firewall must be retained with any alterations approved my ANDRA 6.1 Interior OEM dashboard optional, if removed must be replaced with a fabricated or aftermarket unit to provide a finished appearance As far as stretching the tub front to rear to fit a 28" tyre, this year at compact attack, a lot of cars were knocked for even having a little notch for the fuel rail on their 20b's, and for cutting the outer gaurds. I've spoken with David Baker, the technical advisor, as I am building a gemini for a customer with a VQ35 and he said that we could NOT cut the gaurds that much to fit the 28" tyre. Fark it man, I don't know, or care, I'll wait and see how they go and if they let it race, then I'll do the same sort of mods. For Ank and anyone else waiting to be a cranky pants about my post, read it again, I LOVE the car, i have NO issues racing it in 289, i think that the TYRE SIZE is the limitation, who gives a toss about the recessed firewall or anything else, I'm only questioning ANYTHING to do with the car as as its doing my head in trying to work out what I can and can't do when the car goes against half of what I've been told is allowable 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

both the firewall & tubs have been modified on grumps car! imo st289 should be exaclty that.. doesnt matter if you have modified the firewall to fit in a larger engine as long as the tyre qualifies. maybe then we will see the sport compact scene pushed even further just like titan car running in a outlaw class overseas with a full setup car Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

6boost is the gemini running one of your extractors and if yes are they the same type as used on vl turbos. turbo looks giant on the car.
