Did anyone see the article in st commos where the bloke worked out how to make his own E85 because it was no longer available in SA for his 500rwkw LS1?
Mix 60% methanol with 40% BP ultimate 98 and it makes an even higher octan of E85.. When he threw it on the dyno he did not have to touch the tune at all from E85... It works out to be around $1.50 a L... Very interesting!

I personally wouldn't use it on the street but for a track day I wouldn't hesitate! How much is c16, sunoco these days?

They would be close to being maxed with e85 then yeh?
Is that why you only put 18psi through it?

ive been told for 25psi you need at least 1000cc's and x2 044's with e85 thats why ive got the whites

I've only got 910cc in mine, I could probably make the same power on bp 98 with water injection as what I could with 910s and e85.. Was thinkng bout going e85 but looks like Ill have to wait for some bigger squirters. cheers

Hey ppl, about to start setting up the fuel setup on mine, and i need some advise.
Car is getting tuned for pulp for the street but want to run e85 for the strip etc.
ECU is nistune so map swapping isn't an issue (laptop in car)
However ive heard the max injector size you can run is 750's because of the injector latency?
Anyone able to shed some light on this? already aware that an aftermarket ecu is required for anything more than 350rwkw.
Want to have the fuel setup to support upto 400 - 450rwkw although i doubt the car will ever see it.
this would mean i would need:.
2x 044 bosch pumps
2x 1.5L surge tanks
1000cc - 1200cc injectors?.
Correct?
Also for those already making large power on e85, did you need to upgrade your fuel lines to something like 3/8" as opposed to the 1/4" line from factory?
