ill ask a copper tommorrow and see what he says . Theres always alot of BS flying around when it comes to certain issues. Ive been screwed by RTA over the phone who assured me one thing, however i popped into the RTA and found out the lady over the phone gave me false information.

here in VIC our licences dont have the resrictions written on them, apart from if you need glasses/contacts and if you have a manual or auto licence. im not sure if newly issued licences have the restrictions on them but mine doesnt, why would they start now? im licenced under the old power-weight/capacity-weight ratio laws but just because it doesnt say it on my licence doesnt mean it doesnt apply. the whole point of licence numbers, number plates etc is so information can be gathered about the car, the owner and the driver. they wouldnt bring the laws in if there was no way to determine whos breaking it or not. if you know the law applies to you then dont break it...regardlesss of whether its written on your licence or not.

hey tim, you seem to be in the know of this stuff, im off my p's in 3 months, this law doesnt affeect me at all does it, is it still power to weight ratio? so tha talso means i have to have green p's for like what, 3 months? what a waste (car will be done in under 2weeks ) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

DAZZA - All current P plater's in VICTORIA are getting sent GREEN P PLATES in the mail. I heard on the radio today that number is 250,000+ people!! I have read over all the sh1t talking in this thread and it all seems pretty basic. ALL LAWS STAY AS THEY ARE FOR US WHO HAVE PROBATIONARY LICENSE'S BEFORE JULY 2008, WE ALL HAVE TO DISPLAY GREEN P PLATES AND ALL PEOPLE WHO GET THERE LICENSE AFTER JULY 2008 HAVE RED P PLATES FOR 1 YEAR. The new laws etc. only affect people who get there license after July 2008 ALL THAT IS HAPPENING IS THE COLOUR OF OUR P PLATE CHANGES?? Someone put this at the start of the thread if this is the case, save everyone reading all this crap on here.

when are we getting those green p plates by ppl ?

probably close to the end of the month so probably like 20th of june onwards it will come in the mail

At least you guys are allowed to display them in your windows, in NSW it's outside the car or technically they're not displayed.
