Cant believe they're insuring your car for 16k burgo............... Insurance sucks though they never insure for what has been spent on it or what its worth.

I'm sorted with Shannons - agreed value with my choice of repairer etc Given my last insurer was market value, Shannons are covering it for heaps more with only a slight increase in premium and it can be paid monthly as well. As said thats for limited use obviously

yeh Shannon's are definitely the go, my mate has his home, cars and shed insured with them lol (he's a mechanic). Unfortunately I'm not in a position to get insurance with them though (I have tried). So it looks like Just Car is the only option. Took the VL out for another spin round the block tonight, pulls like a cut ******* considering its a trimmed base map!

Just Car is part of the AAMI Insurance group.... did you try RAC Chris? Mine is insured for $8k they will do it for more but want photos so I not bothering for more till I get it painted. Only another few years and we can go with all the classic car insurance brokers.... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i used to work for shannons, no age restrictions you just have to prove your a genuine motoring enthusiast, which im sure the majority of you would be. Agreed value is excellent too, mines insured for over 30k

Update: Got the car insured, got run in tune today 6-7psi 2nd gear won't engage on the gearbox for some reason hoping like hell to get it fixed @ top quality tomorrow so i can have final tune next week. Car feels strong, but lack of 2nd gear is ****

Update guys: Since had 2nd gear fixed and also lost 3rd and reverse. LOL fail. Anyway got it insured too and had some fun with it while it lasted I'm very pleased with the feel of the car so far and the torque of the DOHC, don't have to boost anywhere, even up the steepest hills on the stall. I'm patiently awaiting parts from KEAS to fix the box up again so I can take it for the "big" tune and finally see some numbers for the build. Stay Tuned.
