Why you ask? lets you build up heaps of boost without reving out as you normally would on the transbrake and when the brake is released it goes back to the normal limiter. Heaps of VL's are starting to use this similar setup. But then you have ones like titan, gas and wedlock use which allow them to get on during prestage then on a different limiter again on stage... pretty fancy imo p.s - congrats on the times. makes you wonder how far it can go. No converter in sight really? what are 6-7 second drag cars using? and all the rotary boys? hmm then again.. i just checked and the PAC MX6 uses a 5speed.... and yeah, i know of a lot of GTRs in the world being "manual" but theyre pretty much auto anyways (up or down style shifting..) if a lot of rotarys (9-10 second) are doing quick times with manual style boxes.. why arent us VL people??? is it the price? are they more expensive than powerglides or what? but then again, on the steets theyre be 10x better than an auto. I've wondered about this as well. Maybe manuals haven't been popular because the guys that started the whole modified VL scene felt as though an auto is quicker, or maybe they just aren't good at driving "stick" . And probably becuase of that, the mentality has stuck, who knows. As for price, by the time you build a glide, add in converter, trans cooler etc, the $$$$ add up. And don't forget, at least with a manual, no matter what you do to the engine, it can use the same clutch, unlike an auto where converter needs to be changed if the engine setup changes, which in the long run can get expensive. Either way, manuals are quicker in an import ie rotaries, fours and sixes. That clip alone shows what the Japs were doing close to 10yrs ago with manuals. Man if i had a four, six or rotor, the last thing to enter my mind is to put an auto behind it. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Probably talking about PAC's VL. Yea that is the quickest manual, which i'm sure has plenty more in it. It's probably the best sounding VLT out there, tough as Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
